Video: Isis - The Veiled Goddess
Posted by: Paul Ferguson - 05-02-2025, 06:12 PM - Forum: Articles on alchemy - No Replies

"Isis, "the Virgin of the World," veiled in mystery, represents the fertile and generative powers of Nature, the unseen matrix from which all life arises and to which all returns. The Mysteries, the secret initiations of Egypt, Greece, and later Hermeticism, were designed to lead the worthy few beyond surface illusions, to tear aside Isis’s veil, and reveal the unity of spirit and matter."

Video: Celephaïs & the Dreamlands of HP Lovecraft
Posted by: Paul Ferguson - 05-02-2025, 06:08 PM - Forum: Alchemy texts - No Replies

In this episode, we descend into Celephaïs—H.P. Lovecraft’s eternal dream-city—and trace its evolution into the alchemical mythos of Malmeth Ciel Nawillin's "Aime Aimless, Aim Vicious" Volume 1 of the Alchemical Courtship in the Dreamlands Saga. We explore how Lovecraft's timeless paradise hides the quiet horror of nostalgia, and how the Dreamlands, in the saga, become more than escape: they’re ritual landscapes, structured by non-linear time, where the past and future meet in judgment.

The Alchemical Three of the Druze Faith
Posted by: Paul Ferguson - 05-02-2025, 05:55 PM - Forum: Articles on alchemy - No Replies

Jadd - Fateh - Khayal
الجد - الفتح - الخيال
The Real - The Overture - The Imaginary.

These are three mysterious terms that appear (textually) in Ismailism, directly inspired from Qarmatian sources, and going back to a potentially lost Yemeni religion, as they are phrased in terms, but essentially going back to Older Tawheed as concepts.

Alchemical Symbolism of ETA Hoffmann's “The Golden Pot"
Posted by: Paul Ferguson - 04-22-2025, 06:15 PM - Forum: Alchemical symbolism and imagery - No Replies

"The aim of this study is to analyse the symbolism of E.T.A. Hoffman’s novella “The Golden Pot” within the framework of the alchemical discourse. The researchers employed historical-genetic, structural-semantic methods and the method of motivic analysis to explore the elements of medieval alchemical symbolism in the novella, namely: the motif of the hero’s
initiation and his subsequent spiritual transformation, the symbols of snake, elemental spirits (salamander and dragon), manuscripts, blood, apples, garden, four elements, palm and cypress, as well as the symbolism of colour – red, black, white, gold and bronze. Results of the research suggest that the medieval theory of alchemy corresponded to the image of achieving
creative harmony and spiritual transformation in German Romanticism."
