Other tarot publishers Many artists who create their own tarots eventually resort to self publication. It is rarely financially successful and indeed often results in the artist struggling to solve the problems of creating a saleable printed version of their deck, when the returns are so small. It often takes many years to sell even a small edition of 50 to 100 copies. Producing and marketing a single deck is often a frustrating experience.
