"The sixteenth century witnessed the ‘alchemical opening’ due to changes brought about by the Reformation,in which alchemical knowledge left the clerical environment and established itself within the European courts. Alchemy be-came more‘public’ and settled in the princely courts of Europe. From Florence to Prague and Vienna, alchemy became a real fad, and an experienced and capable al-chemist was a sought-after resource among the high nobility. Alchemy was no longer the exclusive domain of clerics but was also increasingly used by university professors, pedagogues, merchants, physicians, goldsmiths, and mining scientists. Partly in connection with their practicing professions but partly also coming from distant professional fields, it was those groups of educated people who made alchemy so desirable at the European courts."

Dissertation by Gerrit Tierie.
"In De Quinta Essentia Drebbel discusses in alchemistic terms, how the essence extracted from metals, minerals, plants and animals may be prepared and then used as medicine. From the directions he gives together with philosophical reflections on the subject, we gather, that by essence of metals he meant salts, such as for instance acetates, and by the essence of plants, alcoholic extracts and by the essence of animals, a kind of watery meat extract or bouillon."

"The article discusses the intriguing parallels between nanotechnology and medieval alchemy, particularly within the framework of Siddha traditions. The authors, Devaki R. and Santhosh Kumar R., illustrate how nanotechnology, akin to the ancient practice of alchemy, involves the transformation and enhancement of materials at a microscopic level. The concept of "Rasayana," used by Siddha alchemists, embodies the principles of transmutation and bodily transformation, with a special focus on fluid metals such as mercury. This exploration reflects on how ancient Siddha practices related to the manipulation of atoms for medicinal purposes resonate with contemporary scientific advancements in nanotechnology."

David Pantano. 5 December.
This Thursday we will have the honour of hosting writer and researcher David Pantano, live from Toronto. The lecture will be simultaneously translated by our translator. What is Hermeticism? And when we speak of Italian Hermeticism, what are we referring to? What are the connections between Hermeticism and Alchemy? Who was Giuliano Kremmerz? And Marco Daffi? These and many other questions will be answered in this evening completely dedicated to a topic that many of you have asked us over the years and which we have never explored. As always, we look forward to seeing you live, as we will hold a slot for your questions at the end of the conference.
I assume the interview is in English with consecutive interpreting into Italian.

"Hoffman is arguing that Kennedy’s assassination was the second part of an alchemical ritual. The first part, the destruction of Primordial Matter, refers to the splitting of the atom accomplished at the Trinity test site in White Sands, New Mexico. Of particular interest is Hoffman’s reference to Peter Kern, a jeweler, real estate entrepreneur, prospector, and fifty-year member of the El Paso Masonic Lodge No. 130 (Canavan 1976). Construction on a residential neighborhood known as Kern Place began on November 21, 1914, and an elaborate gate was erected adorned with swastikas, totem poles, zodiac signs, and 444 electric lights."

"Siddha medicine is one of India’s oldest healing systems, originating in Tamil Nadu, and combines ancient medical practices with spiritual disciplines and alchemical principles. This paper investigates the Siddha formulation Eladhi Chooranam (EC), emphasizing its functional groups and properties using advanced characterization techniques such as FT-IR, XRD, and SEM. The study explores the potential of nanotechnology to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of Siddha medicines by validating their medicinal properties and promoting their global applicability."
