Alchemist Awakening: An Alchemical Journey Through the Zodiac
by Iva Kenaz
"An award-winning novel about awakening our inner alchemists and magicians. We are all alchemists with amnesia" is a line from this book that encapsulates the theme of this fictional but partly channeled story. Liza (28) goes through an inner crisis. She’s consumed by heartbreak, finds her work unfulfilling, and feels like she's sleepwalking through life. That’s why when she receives a mysterious invitation to a Spiritual Alchemy seminar, she accepts the challenge and sets out on a soul-searching journey. She begins to meet with her secretive, ethereal teacher and twelve other men, each representing one of the twelve signs of the zodiac. While conversing with them, she learns about alchemy, astrology, and mainly about what it means to grow into her true self."

Creations Of Fire: Chemistry's Lively History From Alchemy To The Atomic Age
"In this fascinating history, Cathy Cobb and Harold Goldwhite celebrate not only chemistry's theories and breakthroughs but also the provocative times and personalities that shaped this amazing science and brought it to life. Throughout the book, the reader will meet the hedonists and swindlers, monks and heretics, and men and women laboring in garages and over kitchen sinks who expanded our understanding of the elements and discovered such new substances as plastic, rubber, and aspirin. Creations of Fire expands our vision of the meaning of chemistry and reveals the oddballs and academics who have helped shape our world."

The Alchemical Preparation of Medicinal Essences, Tinctures, and Elixirs
Manfred M. Junius
"The practice of spagyrics is the application of ancient alchemical working methods to the preparation of tinctures, essences, and other products from medicinal plants. While ordinary tinctures and infusions use only a part of the great curative potential of plants, spagyric methods “open” medicinal plants completely to reveal their more powerful healing properties. Drawing on the rich imagery and symbolism of ancient source materials, Manfred M. Junius describes these methods in great detail, showing readers how to prepare plant remedies alchemically for their own use as well as imparting a knowledge of the ideological world in which alchemistic and hermetic thought flowered. Spagyricsincludes the Plant Magistery of Paracelsus and the Life Elixir recipe of Andreas Libavius among its historic techniques as well as a wealth of scientific information that demonstrates the greater efficacy of alchemical methods of plant essence extraction. This classic source text preserves the nearly forgotten but highly valuable methods of this true hermetic art for preparing natural remedies."
