EASTERN & WESTERN TRADITIONS
OF EUROPEAN ICONOGRAPHY
highlighting the theme
"THE ICONOGRAPHY OF THE FANTASTIC"
between July 12-15, 1998, in Szeged, Hungary.
Papers are invited in English, German, or French,
in the fields of Classical, Medieval, Renaissance
and later iconographic traditions as they manifest artists' and user communities'
fantasies in the arts and literature of Western and Eastern Europe.
The conference also includes the VIth symposium of the
Austrian and Hungarian Societies for Semiotic Studies.
