Sergey Maratovich Teleguin (born January 1, 1964) is a Russian scholar, a Doctor of Philological Sciences, and a professor known for his work in literary criticism, philosophy, and an approach he developed called "mythorestoration". He is noted for his application of mythology and aesthetics to literary analysis, particularly through the lens of alchemical symbolism.

Key Concepts and Works

Mythorestoration: Teleguin's primary method involves uncovering and revitalizing the underlying mythical structures within literary texts to facilitate deeper interpretation.
Alchemy and Literature: He explores alchemy not merely as a proto-science, but through mythology, aesthetics, and its personal, symbolic experimentation.

His major publications, some of which have been translated into multiple languages, include:

Alchemy of Birds: On the Other Side of the Word
The Alchemy of the Magic Word
    Mythology of Eastern Slavs
Philosophy of Myth: Introduction to the Method of Mythorestoration

Sergey M. Teleguin's new book is devoted to alchemy. It differs from many books about alchemy published recently. Its main merit is that this book is not "about alchemy", but in the true sense of alchemy. Its author not only studied alchemical treatises, but also participated in alchemical experiments. The book is written on the basis of personal impressions obtained in the experiments with alchemical mirrors and the experience known as "dissolving the body of the King in a bloody font". This book has been translated with Artificial Intelligence.
