“(Al-)Chemical Space In Silico” (AXIS), a project co-led by Sarah Lang, Head of Digital Humanities, and Guillermo Restrepo of Universität Bielefeld, has received three years of funding from Schmidt Sciences through its Humanities and AI Virtual Institute (HAVI). Combining #AI, computational chemistry, and laboratory experiments, the team investigates #Alchemical recipes dating from before 1800 to uncover and test forgotten chemical knowledge preserved in historical texts."
