"Twelve-year-old Ariana (Magdalena Müller) has been plagued by misfortune since childhood. Alone in the world with an extraordinary gift for magic, she ends up in an orphanage, where she has to endure much abuse from the other children and bullying from the teachers. Yet all the little girl wants is to find a home and discover who her parents were. Her life is suddenly turned upside down when she is sought out by the old alchemist Archivald (Roman Zach).
