The ancient transmutation of lead into gold becomes a symbol for the purification and integration of the fragmented self, mirroring the process Jung identified as individuation. Echoing Sigmund Freud’s famous statement, “Where id was, there ego shall be,” the album navigates the unstable threshold between shadow and consciousness, dissolution and reconstruction."
