Samuel Aun Weor

"The fact has to be taken into account that each year the Christ Sun must be crucified in the world. The Sun has to live the entire drama of his life, passion, and death, to then resurrect in everything that is, in everything that has been, and shall be—that is to say, in all of creation. So, therefore, this is how all of us receive life from the Christ Sun."

Letter from Partington on Alchemical Apparatus
Posted by: Paul Ferguson - 07-29-2025, 03:58 PM - Forum: Articles on alchemy - No Replies

"MY colleague Prof. Earp has directed my attention to an article in the Journal of Hellenic Studies (vol. 1, p. 109; 1930) by F. S. Taylor, entitled “A Survey of Greek Alchemy”, in which the suggestion is made that the apparatus called a ‘water bath’ (bain-marie) by Berthelot (“Introduction à I'étude de la chimie des anciens”, Paris, 1889, p. 146) is really a small charcoal brazier"

"A growing number of alchemists are sounding off on various paths to achieving the sought-after white stone. Recent discussions spotlight different techniques, with some claiming the straight path is slow yet straightforward, while others favor the humid or royal paths."

External Alchemy in China: Evolution & Decline
Posted by: Paul Ferguson - 07-29-2025, 03:49 PM - Forum: Articles on alchemy - No Replies

"External alchemy first appeared in the Western Han Dynasty. In the second year of Yuanguang in the Western Han Dynasty (133 BC), the alchemist Li Shaojun asked Emperor Wu to "offer sacrifices to the kitchen god" and "summon spiritual beings", and to transform cinnabar into gold "to make eating utensils". Emperor Wu followed his advice, "personally offered sacrifices to the kitchen god", and "engaged in transforming cinnabar and other medicinal ingredients into gold", indicating the emergence of external alchemy."

In the Consideration of the Fifth Essence of All Things, the 14th century alchemist John of Rupescissa recorded the preservative properties of the distillate of wine, which he called aqua vitae. “John…notes how meat left in the open air quickly begins to rot, but when immersed in alcohol it is preserved indefinitely…,” Johns Hopkins University professor Lawrence M Principe wrote in The Secrets of Alchemy (2012).
