At the end of the thread linked below, some troublemaker (you know who you are) suggested we. erm, continue on.
http://www.tarotcollectors.com/view_topic.php?id=245&forum_id=3&jump_to=5906#p5906
As you can see, one idea is to do 56 !!! minors to go with the already completed (!!!!) TCF collaborative deck.
I thought this was a great idea until I thought about it some more.
Now I'm thinking...how about a new 22-card deck?
Discuss.

So is this gonna be a yearly tradition now? :) It could, you know help if there's a theme, just to differentiate it from the first one. Like A. Nonny Cat or something.

Nice kerchief on your hair, Nicole.

I enjoy the idea for a further deck in the same as in complete the minors for the first one.
More about this i think it should be possible that others (3rd party collectors) can purchase the deck. The win maybe for OnePotatoe and / or further projects.

Well speaking as one who prefers "workable" decks, I don't much read with majors-only. Hence my preference for the minors over yet another majors-only.
But I'm in the wrong forum for that
So I'll go with the popular opinion, and say yea to another majors deck.

I am not sure yet what I would prefer, but I think it probably should be either majors only or a full deck, as BlueToy suggested.
But.. a full deck does mean we all have to do more then one card of course!

I'm always in for some good tarot-fun, so once again count me in.
a new majors only would have the adventage of everyone only having to make one card (opposed to 3 or 4)
A theme would be nice this year, and there are lots of possibilities:
- we are the year of the ox in Chinese astrology
- the United Nations 62nd General Assembly proclaimed 2009 the International Year
of Astronomy.
-2009: science celebrates 400 years of Galileo, 200 of Darwin
- Also 200 years since the birth of Charles Darwin
- ....

The Darwin Tarot...THAT sounds like a really cool idea!
Of course, all the other logistics need to be sorted out, delegated, etc., but I would enjoy contributing a card.

I would love to be able to collect a copy since I wasn't able to contribute to the first one and can't get a copy of it. Even if I submitted a card, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be selected (the stick figures thing has been done and better than I would do it anyway). Purchase of course!

Full decks are a lot of work...
I should say a lot MORE work than a majors deck...
But after seeing how the last one came out...I admit to wanting to see all the pretty minors!
I'm in either way.
Just so long as I don't have to do another Sun...as I am fresh out of ideas.

I thought about continuing and doing the minors, but unless OnePotato agrees to continue as our printer, the backs would be different. And the cards themselves would probably just be different. Different size or texture. Maybe we could do a complete set of unillustrated minors to go with each set (plain backs tho). How about just one type of unillustrated minors that could be used with any decks we create in the future?
I would prefer a new deck too. I like the Year of the ox or astronomy, but darwin has possibilities too.
Here's another idea. We agreed to only the contributors getting decks, but how about an extremely limited number for sale to other forum members, to offset the cost of publishing the deck? 22 decks for creators and 8 for sale, for a total of 30. Of course if that happens they would have to be numbered.

Oh Lord, THEMED???
Perhaps I could work with astronomy or the ox, but Darwin??
Ooh ... wait, just had inspiration for one or two Darwinian cards ...
Anyway, themed or not (my preference is not), I'm in

But isn't it like a puzzle, find a idea and adapt to the theme?
theme - 'a unifying or dominant idea, motif, etc., as in a work of art.'

Last year BlueToy suggested a theme of chimeras. The crowd said no.
How about this instead: Every card of a new majors deck should incorporate one visual element--so there would be one element in common across the cards?
For example, each card should contain a circle, triangle and square somewhere within it.

That's a great idea. In fact, we could combine that with the idea of the Darwin Tarot and have every card include a bacterial flagellum. Whatcha think?

perhaps the famous view from ape to man but new extended from one-cellular being for the foot to "modern man" on the Judgement card

OK, since I am a *troublemaker* I might as well try live up to my reputation. I will start a new thread with a poll to see what the voters think.
Plus, everyone knows you don't 'herd' cats, you lead cats, usually with a newly opened can of cat food....

Another suggestion (which might require voting). How about a title for this up-coming one? I mean we can get more creative than "Tarot Collectors' Forum Collaborative Deck Project #2" (although a title like that has charms in a Dadaist way). In one of the polls, I read someone comment about it being "Amazing." That sounds kinda nice (if circus-y), actually.

Reminds me of the lyrics to Karnevil #2
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
We're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside
There behind a glass stands a real blade of grass
Be careful as you pass,.move along, move along
Come inside, the show's about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
Greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll, oh
I just realized I am really showing how old I am!

Oh and this is me being obsessive-compulsive. The quoted stuff in the post aren't title suggestions. Just, well, cicrus-y thoughts.
Talking of circus-themed song lyrics:
from Is That All There Is (the surprisingly existential Peggy Lee version, of course):
And when I was 12 years old, my father took me to a circus, the greatest show on earth.
There were clowns and elephants and dancing bears.
And a beautiful lady in pink tights flew high above our heads.
And so I sat there watching the marvelous spectacle.
I had the feeling that something was missing.
I don't know what, but when it was over,
I said to myself, "is that all there is to a circus?
I just love it that we can veer off-topic here!

Thank you, but unfortuantely I remember when Emerson, Lake and Palmer came out with Karneveil. I do listen to stuff from way before my time tho, from Dean Martin to Hank Williams to Mozart. And he was WAY before my time!

I'd love to contribute a card to either a Majors only or full deck if there is room. Sorry I only just caught up with your ongoing discussion (a couple thoughtful friends brought it to my attention...you know who you are) I'm behind on projects and don't check this fabulous Forum as much as I would like to, but yeah that sounds very fun if the deadline is not for a while still and you have an opening.
Warmly, arnell

I'd like to see us do either a full new 78 card deck (adding on to the previous majors only deck doesn't appeal to me in particular, because I wasn't involved in it - kind of like rummaging through somebody else's underwear drawer)
A title is cool, though!!

I did not participate in the last deck but it sounds like fun so count me in too.
What happens when a deck if finished, do we all get a copy?

Everyone who participates does, maybe others, still working on that. Check the other threads in this forum for polls and card choices.
