New Fiction Magazine: Alchemical is now open for submissions - Paul Ferguson - 09-12-2026
"We seek short fiction (1,000 to 5,000 words of speculative-literary fiction), as well as essays (on the craft of writing or the magic of writing), one-shot graphic narratives, and cover art. No submission fees. Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Responses under 45 days. While we are not a paying market, we will nominate our favorite pieces for the Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net awards, and the Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy series, among others, as well as promote our top writers in an annual showcase. Issue One is scheduled for release in Spring 2027."
