Thesis: Weston, Pulter, & the Secret Language of Alchemy - Paul Ferguson - 07-31-2026

“Those That the Hidden Chemic Art Profess:” Elizabeth Jane Weston, Hester Pulter, and the Secret Language of Alchemy"

"Highlighting the hidden alchemical significance of Weston’s and Pulter’s works sheds light on the complex ways that women writers contributed to the development and propagation of alchemical and proto-scientific knowledge in the early modern period.
