The Voynich: an indigenous Mesoamerican medical text? - Paul Ferguson - 06-30-2026

"This article breaks new ground by presenting evidence that much of the art work is Mesoamerican in style or heritage. Examples of the Voynich script are similar or identical to Courtesan script used in codices from New Spain, Early Colonial Mexico. Based on the internal evidence the provenance may be inferred to be Mexico and the language a combination of Nahuatl--the language of the Aztecs, and Spanish."
