MS Ashburnham 1166 - Paul Ferguson - 07-12-2024 The authorship of the manuscript has been tentatively attributed to Johannes von Teschen or Ticinensis, but it is the artistic style of the illustrations that has attracted considerable attention, as the watercolours have been attributed to the workshop of Giovanni Bellini (1430-1516). In this depiction, the composition of the elements is represented by letters: Terra > T (Earth), Aer > A ( Air) Aqua > A ( Water) Ignis > I ( Fire) https://www.facebook.com/story.php/?story_fbid=962891399169917&id=100063471970115 |
