I have obtained a new Chinese deck which appears to use the images of Evan Yi Feng, the creator of the wonderful Lunatic Tarot (2005) and in particular incorporates some of the imagery from the earlier deck. I thought it was a Chinese rip off, unauthorised, or pirated version of the Lunatic Tarot, but instead we have an original deck with artwork in the style of Evan Yi Feng and most likely by him. The accompanying booklet is entirely in Chinese so I cannot get any information from that. The cards are elongated following the Chinese convention with cards.
This deck is surely a 'must-have' for collectors. I show a few of the images below : High Priestess - Lovers - Hanged Man - Three of Swords. The pip cards are not emblematic.

I recognise a couple of the images from his web site, they are details, so not created specifically for this pack. Hard to tell if they are sanctioned by him, they don't figure on his product list but then web sites aren't always updated very quickly. It certainly looks an attractive set though, so I'll be keeping an eye open for it.

I'd actually be pretty surprised if this were an authorized work. As philebus mentions, the art in at least two of the posted examples are bits of larger works from the Risky Fairy Tales portfolios. And while Evan's main web site is not up to date, he maintains a blog that is current, and there is no mention of these. My guess is rip-off.

OK, I checked, and all three of the posted cards with illustrations are details from the first Risky Fairy Tales series. The first is from a print called The Exorcist, the second is a very small detail of Red Riding Hood and The Wolf, and the third is Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, turned upside-down from its intended orientation.
Although I could certainly be wrong, I doubt Evan Yi Feng had anything to do with this (apart, of course, from having created the art).

Thanks for that information. It really helps put this Chinese deck into context.
The person who designed this rip-off deck, or if we are being charitable, this tribute deck, certainly chose the images for the Majors and the Court cards well.

I just acquired this deck, and had no idea what it was; I sent an image to Chialing who just said that it was his art work and is called the Risky Fairytales Tarot. She didn't suggest that it was in any way dodgy.
ETA I just asked her and she said it was issued in 2006 and she isn't aware that it is a rip off.
