It's described in the dealer's catalog as "unidentified Spanish Marseille mini." I'm surprised at the mini-ness! I'll post more photos if you like.

...but who is the "unidentified" dealer?

and yes, they sure are "mini"!

The Merrymac "World's Smallest Tarot" is 37 mm x 22.5 mm; what size is this deck of yours?
Are those possibly Aces, those 4 b+w cards; I take it it is a 78 card pack (?)
Yes please, more pictures...

I have smaller decks than that from Il Meneghello. As in 10mm wide.... also my Gnomes, at 14 x 22 mm.

But I have that one too. :D I got it in 1994 from a guy who knows his stuff; he assured me it came from Spain - but nothing more is known about it !

If those letters are the backs - mine are different, and so are my "extra cards" - and I suppose your red and white one could be your FIFTH extra ?

It's definitely smaller than the alleged world's tiniest - it says on the box... - though not as small as my Meneghello micro decks.

Here we have a Canadian penny (same size as US and almost as UK) + my extra cards, my backs, the alleged World's tiniest (Merrimack RWS Hong Kong) and one from my micro Meneghello Tipo Lusso (I have a set of four decks this size !)

Mine is majors only, and by the size of debra's box. I am guessing hers is too - but as I have FIVE extra cards I think they may be for those "can you tell what shape I am seeing" games rather than aces; so I rather suspect a magazine give away ?

I keep mine in a matchbox, for safety in the drawer. It rattles around in there :cl

Same backs as Gregory's, 22mm x 30mm, 22 majors + four strange shapes + 2 info cards with microscopic printing + one title card.

Who or what is "LA RE" or "LA'RE" or ... "LAPRE"?

:cl

Very nice.

It looks like they were designed to be small.
I don't expect there is a larger version.

The "Haunted Dollhouse Tarot" is 16mm x 21mm

The Merrymac was probably done earlier than the other mini decks.

I have a small tarot 13 by 7 mm produced by Miniature World in the UK. This is presumably made for a doll's house.

I'd love to see a photo of that.  (If you have time, and can find it)

Don't be ridiculous, Gregory.  It's a bet.  How will I confirm I've won if you don't measure them?  Go on then, and I'll wait here.

Hopefully it has been wrapped in an oversized packing or it might get lost in the mail ; the following picture is from the seller (from that damn website where I'm fighting hard with myself not to buy this horribly cute "super pop" tarot)

It will have to be oversize packaging, Bertrand--there is not enough room for a postage stamp!

Let us know when you get it :)

Got it !
it's even smaller than I imagined, extremely cute and quite wise on several cards.

second picture beside a vintage Etteilla deck to compare to another deck :

Very nice (and the Etteilla too!)

Eno, I'm sorry, the source I used had only one left, and someone here bought it.  I hope you find a copy soon :)

Hello,

Debra, your red box is much nicer than the brown one I got ! I was hoping to get different additional cards but they are the same as yours, which is cool anyway. It seems that Gregory found the rare kind BUT he hasn't got the nice "LA?RE" red card.

Sumada, any news from yours ? How different is it ?

Hi all,
Well I got the last from R. Sommerville I believe, and it's in a turquoise-ish box. Same 'shape' cards as some others on here, and two explanatory cards. Thats the back in the middle...

hello

Thanks for the picture Sumada, same extra cars, but this turquoise box is much desirable and you've got another title card on the box ! Neat, I wonder how many of those have been published - and how many have been lost between other bigger stuff and things.

Just found one of these on ebay Spain and the seller identifies it as Tarot Vilaró printed by Joan Josep Vilaró Decors, Pineda de Mar (Barcelona), 1988. Illustrated by J. Vilaró (who I assume is the same Joan Josep Vilaró).

Cool! If that is really this deck, then I guess we finally have a name for it. I had it listed in my database as miniature tarot. But Tarot Vilaro sounds much better.
