I am new here but I'd love your opinions on this deck.
It's a Pre copyright blue box Rider/Waddington deck
The cards are in great shape but the box is not. As a collectible should I tape the box where it is kind of splitting apart or should I leave it as is and just keep it protected? Will repairing the box damage the value?
Unless you have proper archival tape, I would leave it as is. Absolutely NOT scotch tape.
A damaged box will lower the value, sure. But a badly repaired one more so, IMNVHO. A bad repair is unfixable. That said - I don't rate my decks by value as I shan't be selling thnm.
