Since reading stuff on web it does seem they are still very much in demand. Does any one know why they have chosen to put them out of print? :(

There has been some discussion on this at the aeclectic tarot forum recently. This comes from a 'friend of a friend' so I don't want to go round repeating it, but here's the thread where it was discussed  -

It's very much in demand because it's OOP, and the feeding frenzy that has since surrounded the deck. It was a poor seller when it came out, sat on the shelf.

I got a set when it came out in '96, I made a poor decision which I regret greatly and sold it last year, and it went "missing" en route. Errr, whatever. What a mistake that was, and nothing but disaster. So as I had to refund the money and was out my freakin' deck....wasn't too happy.

Now I want it back in my collection.

yes, I remember that quite well. Lesson learned, when sending out a deck, one must always send it with tracking so that one isn't out of money or a deck. Definitely a lesson learned on my part as well. I also have learned when buying a deck that is in high demand, to pay half upfront and pay for certified mail, delivery confirmation, and then pay the balance when the deck is received.

I lost a few decks in the mail and have learned since that if an item is in high demand, one must always be extra careful.

I hope you both find a Greenwood. It's out there and I wish you both success.

I am selling my deck for 300 if anyone is interested. I have pictures posted here so you can see the condition it is in. The cards are in excellent shape and the box is just a little worn.

There's the link to my store. If you have any questions you can contact me via amandar@cogeco.ca

or through ebay's message system.

I've been trying to find your O.O.P. decks  in your shop but they seem to be hidden amongest a bunch of stufffff ... I feel like I'm on an Easter egg hunt !!! :hp You should have a seperate catagory for your tarot decks so people can locate them more easily.I'm part of the instant gratification generation and if I can't find something easily I just wander away .....:sd
.... Good luck on your Green Wood !! Mike

It sat on the shelf!? I got one and wouldn't part with it for the world. I love Cheska Potter's artwork. I also have the Celtic Shaman's Pack she did with John Matthews. It is so gorgeous!
Good luck finding it!

I agree- this deck is as elusive as it gets.  I would also love to add one of these to my collection!  Why don't they reissue it???  And to think I had the chance to buy this deck in England- for the regular retail price when it was in print.  What kept me from buying it was mostly because I knew nothing about it at the time & could not see the cards since they were in shrinkwrap.  This was before I owned a computer and before sites like http://www.aeclectic.net where a lot of cards are on display.  I have seen this deck for sale on Amazon Marketplace or Ebay for upwards of $300.00.  Sad because most of us don't have that kind of money to invest in any one deck.
