It seems that shortly, when one searches for 'tarot cards' on Ebay, we will get presented with finds of actual physical tarot cards, and not have to wade through a mass of adverts from tarot readers.

They have indeed banned sales of tarot readings.

We will still get Mystic Pug and James Balent, though. And that Black Rose thing.

Yes, I had forgotten, there is still that rogue element to put up with.

You both are probably already aware of this, but for the newbies and just in case you are not: if you do an Advanced Search you can select keywords to identify listings you wish to have omitted from your results.

You can type the keywords in a text box labelled to that effect in the Advance Search form, or by using a minus sign, (e.g. tarot -pug -balent etc). Then check the box to save that search to my ebay, and it will be in your "Saved Searches" list for you to use without having to type in the whole string again later.
Won't work for Black Rose though since it would omit anything with "Black" or "Rose." I don't know if they have a way to use multiple word keywords without screening for the component words too.

They have - you can use quotation marks. However - well, let us just say that I refined a search with enormous care to exclude everything I did not wish to see. Sadly there comes a point that you have to CHOOSE. Because it won't accept as many exclusions as most of us here would wish !!! ("Black Rose" is one of mine, though !)

 add
-"black rose"
to your search and you'll get rid of it !
you can also use jokers and group stuff you want or don't want, so a search string that may get rid of most (not all) of what you think is crap can be :
taro* -(tarou,taro,"black rose","blackrose",readin*,usb,pendant,necklace,helicopter*)
yet you'll find some amusing off-topic results such as
http://www.ebay.com/itm/290767138929
but having some noise included with the signal is what makes the charm of it, isn't it ?

I have done all those - quotation marks and all. (except helicopter - I wasn't aware of that as a tarot issue !!!!) In the end I ran out of space - they have a character limit !

Actually I quite fancy that deck.... !

It seems quite strange that Vertigo Comics did not issue a Madame Xanadu tarot.

Someone told me last week that Ebay was gonna ban tarot sales... scared the hell out of me:ee. But when I looked it up, I found out it is only readings... phew! :Z

I am glad it only concerns readings. And it will make it easier to find stuff, not having to go through the many reading adverts.

That's great news. What a waste of time it was having to wade through those things.
