I've seen a lot of interesting work done regarding the construction of a publication timeline for the English Thoth editions, but never one for the other existing editions out there.
Here's a scan of a small (3"x2") German Thoth deck I picked up last year; each suit has a different colored border, although this isn't nearly as dramatic in the scan as it is in person.
This version may be quite common in Germany; unfortunately, it didn't come with a box.
ETA: My scanning skills are completely nonexistent!Attached Image (viewed 395 times):

I would if I had it! I don't track who I purchase stuff from. Although you might be able to find it if you sort through my feedback!

O.K., is there a makers mark? Like AGMuller or some similar company copyright?
That's a neat deck, a real mini thoth. (I like the backs also, and the German title are fit well somehow)

Nope, no makers mark anywhere on the cards. Deck came with an instruction leaflet in German; basically an 8.5x11 page folderd up. Title is: TAROT Beschreibung zu den Karten von Aleister Crowley.
That's why I wish we had a better understanding of the timeline of the German editions. Tarosophy International's December 2009 issue (lulu.com) is devotedentirely to the Crowley Tarot - lots of great stuff!!

No - that one has normal borders, is only available in German, not as small as kimber's, and is very nice indeed (I have it !) but isn't it.
I wonder if lulukat knows ? with her German contacts ?

I remember having sold 2 of these on Ebay, there were flea market finds from Germany that my mom had sent me.
I remember one of the 2 buyers having been upset about the deck being so small and I may have not included the size of the cards, so I do remember this deck... LOL!
And I never saw them anywhere again, either.
But very cool looking decks indeed. If I'll find the photos I had taken of them, I'll post them here.

Thanks everybody. I appreciate your input that the link I posted is a new German edition; and knowing that it is not the same as Kimbers' deck. It's good to know that there are more of these around, even if it means a little bit of a search (that might be part of the fun). And I definitely would like to see more of these cards if at all possible. The different backs and borders are intriguing to me and the colours themselves seem quite different from the Thoth that I have.

Tell me which cards you'd like to see and I'll post some more scans this weekend.

They are most likely bootleg printings. The image on the back is atypical of anything officially released.

It is quite possible it's a bootleg, but I don't mind! It's unique and different. It radically departs from the usual Thoth versions, but I do so love my little Red Headed Step Children.

Ah, bootleg... a little harder to find, since they aren't official. Oh, and those cards definitely show the colouring a bit different from the Thoth that I have (I know, it seems they all are different; "greenies", for example).
Ha, I'll be you redheaded stepchildrens' godfather!

Well I always do this for YOU!
Anyway - I have tracked down someone who has been able to tell me where these came from.
Supposedly these were promotional type items that were given out at Esoteric fairs in Germany about 10-15 years ago or so.
I am trying to find out more.
A small printing company made a limited batch of these, they never came in a box, only wrapped in cellophane.
Now how useless was this information? Ha!

More info ! Are you ready, Kimber?
I was able to track down the German company who had printed these about 10 -15 years ago.
They were sold at Renaissance fairs and various Esoteric fairs in Bavaria (not even nationwide) for a short period of time, and sitting in storage since.
A few hundred had been printed. No wonder that these never showed up anywhere!
I might be able to get some for you guys, I think they have some left.
Would anyone here be interested? If yes, let me know and I'll try to work my magic : )
PS: The symbol on the back has a meaning, too. But that's for later, gotta keep up the teasing. Hehe!Attached Image (viewed 148 times):

Some info on the Symbol:
These decks were designed (or bootlegged) by 2 women who used to own a Pagan/Occult shop in Munich and did readings at Renaissance fairs like I told you guys in the earlier posts.
They were selling these decks there, gave readings etc etc.
The symbol on the card was the emblem for their store.
It's the sun, and a celtic triskele. Around the triskele, there are the letters K and C, which are the initials of the ladies, and the other horned little thing is a taurus, it's their birth sign.
Ta-ta! Now ya know!Attached Image (viewed 98 times):
