Hi. Can anyone tell me anything about these cards?

They are printed on very light weight glossy paper and have been cut out rather roughly, possibly from a larger sheet. I don't think they came from a book though - there is nothing on the backs.

At bottom right there are the letters P.F.M, and bottom left there is a squiggle that looks a bit like M or R, then apostrophe A; so M'A or R'A but the 'style' makes it a little hard to be sure.

Any ideas?

OK - I now realise I should have posted this in the Looking for Information thread, so to make good I can upgrade to Show and Tell properly by saying I have found info elsewhere.

These cards were drawn by Paul Francois Morvan (hence the P.F.M.), for "Traite de Symbolisme et de Divination Tarotique" by Valentine Bresle.

These images have been cut out poorly from a single large sheet, which I have been told probably comes from 1940 - 45.

I also found an old post on Aeclectic from 2006 by our host Adam McLean that suggests they were first produced around 1934. Another poster in that thread stated that there was to be a coloured deck published in 2007. Anyone know anything about that?

The coloured deck must have happened, because I stumbled on this, but no others as yet, nor info as to where it may be obtained.
Again, any clues...?

This is an old thread but I have some information to share so I may as well put it here.

Trumps I and III appeared in an article by Valentin Bresle published in 1952, "Les tarots ou la machine à penser," (Le Crapouillot, Les sciences occultes, mars 1952), which states that Morvan drew them in 1934.

It appears that the set you have, and the accompanying fascicle, was part of Bresle's encyclopedia of occultism, the "Thesaurus magiae" but I have not seen it myself.

I believe the deck was reproduced in a book called "sous le voile du maître secret" by Marcel Spaeth, and that Morvan drew the deck for Bresle's occultist group, the Jurande Templière, in 1934. That book was reprinted some years ago.
