In January 2016 I decided to reprint a wonderful Tarot deck created at around 1865, in Turin, by the publisher Claudio Perrin.
In 40 years of studies on Tarot history I saw only one copy of this deck... was in a private collection.
Looking at these cards I found strange that, despite of great artistic and esoterical value, the Perrin Tarot has remained forgotten until recently.
No news in the Encyclopedia of Tarot by Stuart Kaplan .. and even in the Museum Fournier and catalogs of public and private collections.
For this reason I decided to do a research on the origins of these 78 figures, on the printing technique and on their publisher.
I found out many interesting details, which I quoted in the booklet accompanying the deck.
I'm sure the deck of Perrin will awake the curiosity of many Tarot enthusiasts.
The Perrin Tarot 1865 was produced by RINASCIMENTO - Italian Style Art and Araba Fenice.
