Just received the May and August 2009 issues of Koiunriki, a Japanese women's magazine focusing on all things "spiritual." Like a few other similar magazines, most notably an*an and the now apparently defunct Sundari, Koiunriki occasionally includes bound-in, cut-them-out-yourself sets of tarot majors. Over the years, Koiunriki has produced what are, in my opinion anyway, among the more interestingly designed examples of the breed, including these, these, and these.
This year, they produced two different sets: The Particle Tarot, credited to Ryuichi Izumi and illustrator Ken Kumagai, in the May issue, and The Love Spectrum Tarot, credited to Ryuichi Izumi and illustrator Hitomi Nagao, in the August issue.
Adam's mention of The Particle Tarot on his blog back in May was enough to get me interested, but upon receiving it I found it even more intriguing. As you can see, it's quite intricately designed, with all sorts of odd and fascinating details (note the inclusion of each card's roman numeral in its design). On the whole, a rather unique vision.
The Love Spectrum Tarot, on the other hand, is, from a design point of view, at the opposite end of the (if you'll excuse the term) spectrum. This set focuses on minimalist symbolic elements and simple and flatly colored forms. Not nearly as intriguing as the Particle, but not bad for something cut out of a magazine.

Yeah, I have enough troubel with English.
I do like the kitty in the Strength card in the Love spectrum deck.
Ther was also Sundari Love Qabbalah Tarot in a Japanese magazine, I did get it from Amazon.jp, but it was a headache.

A somewhat easier-to-use source for Japanese and Chinese material is YesAsia. Looking back at my Sundari post, I see that I got all of my issues of Sundari from them for $8.75 each with free shipping. My memory is that Amazon Japan charges something like $25.00 to ship magazines.
Unfortunately, YesAsia doesn't seem to carry Koiunriki, but I'd imagine that baby_dream could get them.
