As part of the work of my Centre for Tarot Art and in parallel with the descriptive catalogue of published tarots which I hope will be completed before the Summer, I have happily found a colleague, Stacy Flinn, here in Scotland willing to help build a catalogue of unpublished tarot designs.

I myself have gathered some hundreds of these over the last years and as some of these are astounding, it would be good to have these in a database which could be made available on the website.

I have set up this section of the forum in the hope that members of the tarot collecting community might help by sharing information about unpublished tarots.

Rules for this section.

1. Please do not post full sets of images of unpublished tarots in this section. Two sample images will be acceptable.
A link to the artist's website will be okay, but we must respect the intellectual property of the artist.

2. Please open a new thread for each tarot, as it will get very unwieldy and totally confusing if everyone posts in the same thread.

3. If possible please post as much information as possible, i.e. the artist's name, country of origin, date of creation of the tarot, art medium, and any biographical information you can find.

4. If you have any information you would prefer not to place directly on the forum, please email this to me

I just had a look through the database and I noticed there were several tarots in there that were actually self-published at one point. And that I actually have a copy of. Do the self-published tarots also count as unpublished? Just wondering...

There will be a number like this. Basically I have given
the person building the database, Stacy Flinn, a dump of
many of the images I have collected through the years.

Some of these will subsequently have been self published,
and others I will not have realised were self-published.

It is early days with this database. It will gradually be edited and errors corrected.

Please let me know which items you identify as being
self published and I will pass this information on to Stacy.

Ok, I will do.

Here are some of the corrections of decks that are self-published:
- Moon Dawn of Crystal Tarot was self-published in 2000.
- Salt Doll Tarot was self-published in 2004. Artist name is Yiso
- Isabel Tarot has been self-published under the name Isabel's Traumtarot in 2008.

Further, the Kayne's Celtic Tarot has never really been published, but the artist has sold posters of the 22 majors of thick paper. It was possible to cut out the cards from the poster (I did that).

Also the Gregori Tarot looks pretty much the same as the Canonic Tarot of Gregory, sold  by Anna Ya here (http://www.tarotcollectors.com/view_topic.php?id=1395&forum_id=6), as number 12 on the list in her 1st post.

Just a thought. Do these include incomplete decks? Like that marilyn manson deck which only had a couple of card images but which was "published" as a postcard.
