The de la Rea. No contest.
I saw it in an art exhibition when I was on holiday in France; it was 20 years before I managed to find out how to buy it.....

I just love the La Corte Dei Tarocchi by Anna Maria D'Onofrio.
The printed version is beautiful, but the original hand-printed version is even more stunning.Last edited on Wed Jun 18th, 2008 04:53 pm by Little Window

I have fallen madly deeply in love with the quirly and beautiful Phantomwise and the drop dead gorgeous Gaian...especially the Gaian minor cards...which I was lucky enough to see in progress.
*sigh*

I envy you for having the original. I have to content myself with the (nonetheless charming) printed version. I wonder what paper they used for that? It has a nice ribbed texture.
Anyway, my love-at-first-sight deck was the Felicita. I first saw its moon card in Tarotpassages 8 years ago, I think, and I tried looking online if it's available (though for sure it wouldn't be locally), and was foolish enough to use that request function thing in TarotGarden thinking that the price was affordable. Imagine my horror at a quotation of $750! :(

Well... the one that touches my heart the most is our belov'd Chronata's 'Midnight Masquerade', http://www.ste4fun.com/RobynMasqueradePage/
And the one that touches my mind the most is by F.J.Campos, the 'Alchemical Emblem', http://www.alchemywebsite.com/tarot/art_tarot01.html
Then come the Folchi's... just 'cuz,
Omaggio, http://www.tarotgarden.com/boutique/images/ertecards.gif Felicita, http://www.tarotgarden.com/database/images/f-decks/felicitacards.gif
Ferrara, http://www.tarotgarden.com/database/images/f-decks/ferraracards.gif
Carnavale, http://www.tarotgarden.com/database/images/v-decks/venicecards.gif
And then there is a black & white that I will own one day... well... really... I hope to own them ALL one day, 'Le Tarot de Gruyeres', http://www.tarotgarden.com/database/images/g-decks/gruyerescards.gif

I feel the same way about the Phantomwise. I just received mine today and other than the faces of my two sons, I've never seen anything so wonderful and magical. Seriously.

That is a difficult one.. which is the most beautiful tarot... sigh. Too many I have fallen in love with!
But just to mention one, my very first love and still one of my most beloved tarots:
- Tarot of the Millenium, Tarot of Four Worlds
by Mary Susan Chamberlain and Ziba Vilmanis-Westernberg.
I remember I finally got a copy of this deck, I was so excited! However, these days I am also very much in love with the Diary of a Broken Soul, Tarot of the Sidhe, Phantomwise, Tarot of Trees, Cat's Eye... aaarrgghh.. too many!

I agree that the Folchi's are wonderful. I have the Omaggio and would love the others, especially the Carnivale. Someday, maybe.
The Tarot de Gruyeres is a wonderful deck. You can sit and look at it for ages. I don't think it gets the attention it should. (PS-one is on ebay now)

Really?? I'm surprised! It is a gorgeous deck, but I picked up a copy about 10 years ago for $25 and never really thought of it as a hard to get deck! Guess I just got lucky.
The thing was that the information in the art exhibit was - shall we say - less than complete, and I thought I had enough detail taken down in my diary to find it later. NO.....! And could I remember the name of the church that hosted it - somewhere near Quimper, I think ? Nope.
So I had to track it down the hard way ! It's easy enough to get - Bocher is still selling it himself as far as I know. It was just that I had a hard time finding it ! Though I think the exhibit was before it was printed as a deck.

I guess that maybe it isn't classically beautiful, but for me the Storm tarot is one of the most lovely that I have. I am charmed by the way such a coarse medium can produce such movement and flowing lines.
Completely differently, I find Tarot of Lepidopteran people full of colour and grace.

Personally I'd say the Tarot of Vampyres. It's so beautiful, luscious, full of details...

For me it is Thoth, how boring of me :-p
Runner up is Crystal Tarots especially after I cropped it.
Edited to add that most of the time I fall in love with 'fugly' decks though. Like Shining tribe!Last edited on Mon Mar 26th, 2012 09:30 am by pixelina

I'd grant you the FIRST edition of the Crystal - the large majors only cards. The 78 card small deck just can't do it justice and that drives me nuts !
And yes, Rylla - the Kingdom Highway is lovely. Which version do you have - mine is the Sophia, with creamy borders.

Deviant Moon... and so one
A deck I have not but I love it :
