I have been requested to reproduce the Vandenborre Tarot and so I am working on it now.

I know it is not wildly popular so I will only be doing ONE print run so this will be the only chance you have to get one if you are interested. I haven't decided whether I will have a title card with a numbered limited edition or not. I should have them done and ready to send them off to a printer by the end of December.

My version of this deck will be bridge size (2-1/4" x 3-1/2"} and printed on premium linen card stock and come in a velvet bag, no LWB.

You can see them here.

Is this a facsimile of an original deck? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that the Carta Mundi Vandenborre Bacchus Tarot, which your deck looks near identical to, was traced and recoloured - based on having seen images of the deck from the British Museum (see attachment below) which have much sharper lines, staining, more grunge and completely different and less accurately applied colours. Perhaps you would be so kind as to elaborate a little on the history of this deck please.

Interesting. I understood that the scans I received were from an antique deck and I did a lot of mopping up on them. I do not know the provenance of the deck.

Is there any chance that you will be doing a boxed edition?

Doing boxes is a very expensive proposition and since most of my decks sell very few, it would be prohibitively expensive to order boxes. You must wait for a commercial version, I'm afraid.

This is a deck to be used not just collected. :)
