Gregory: Good series. The pics you took especially for the swords and cups are perfect for the cards.
Just so people know - the background for wands is fireweed. I hope someone picks up on that.... :gi

Exactly, Gregory, I'm with you.  I'm no painter and am in awe of those who are.  These are just wonderful!  I'm so excited to see what everyone has.  This is going to be a brilliant deck!

OK here's my Page of Swords, the fly on the wall, the spy who blends in whose motives are uncertain, whose loyalties may be purchased...and betrayed.

All wonderful and surprising images - I love the little 'sets' of cards - a glimpse of each artist and complete in themselves. Glad I'm not the only one who's painting though...

Nice discorporation on the QoC. Cool page of swords too... is that a Modigliani scuplture?! 9 Pents: the mer-goat goes well with the fountain theme.

Same here. But it's wonderful seeing the variety of mediums and styles so far. Makes things seem more alive. Talking of painting, here's a thought: has anyone invite Ciro already?! Would love to see his work in this new project.

AND finally, here's my last card for the project. I was on a roll with experimenting, though this still ended up as a pleasant surprise. 8 of Wands:

All those great cards have inspired (but sadly, also pretty much intimidated!!!) me, so here's today's work, the Queen of Wands and Strength.

Morwenna, I love them, they're both beautiful - you've no reason whatever to feel intimidated.

8 of Wands and 9 of Pents amazing too... :ro

Lots more wows ! and Morwenna - I LOVE that strength in particular; don't feel intimidated. You wait till you see my remaining two - now that I have no camera for a while (I lost the one I was lent, having  left my own in Canada....) things are getting DEEPLY creative, and not in a good way.... :sd

Don't they all look good together so far? :)

(And just as a disclaimer, that's not the border/layout in the final thing. I just wanted to see how they'd look together as cards. ;) )

(Transferred the images to the first page so they won't be as much a bother when you're reading the thread)

Fabulous Ly - how very 'finished' they all look as cards! I didn't see my two knights at first - then I spotted the horizontal slide bar - double wowee!

Brilliant work everyone! :ro

Ok after seeing everyone's cards I feel like returning my diploma from kindergarten.

My first go at the 6S is already making me insane.... I have been going nuts trying to make what I saw in my mind.. I wanted end of a roller coaster which then led me to attempt a water ride; but going through the public domain art gave me virtually no rides where the people/boat/car were facing away which I liked...

so here is a first attempt while I try and fiddle more with my new photoshop program.

I've corrected the typos already hee hee I think what made the cards seem real-er was the slight yellowing in the border (just realized, it reminds me of the old Mythic!).

That looks very good, especially since this was a first attempt! Dark and all. :)

Ha ha yes very fitting for the Sun card. Also, and somehow, I get a 90s feel (which isn't a bad thing).

Offering an 8 of Pentacles since it was recently orphaned.  If someone has one they like better, no worries.

I'll happily take the 2008 deck off your hands, if it's too much of a painful reminder.

O but the ban has been lifted in (as far as i know) all countries, there are "recreations" using authentic recepes, and others make modern interpretations of this godly beverage (or is it the devils work :gi).

One of the nicer and comercially well doing modern absinthes is made by Marylin Manson (the singer/shock rocker/public figure...) go figure ...:c

From the girl known as Just-Say-No-Marcia, this is the best argument I've seen to date for mind altering substances!!

Cool new cards. I have no issue with Marcia taking the 8 of pents, that's a wonderful thing she did. And la Luna's is just inspired. I wonder if we should all start drinking Absinthe now... :D

No quarrel with that - but could you make the images less wide; they aren't half making it hard work to read posts - scrolling across the page is a pain in the ****.

Maybe 3 cards wide, say - or fewer pixels across ?

(OH MAN - I needed to edit my spelling and it was a mile long scroll.....:cl)
