Hi Everyone,

I am looking for the Deidre of Sorrows tarot Deck. Does anyone have a copy that they may not want?

It's 35 euros + postage. Not bad at all. And you get a fat book with it. And now a silk bag.

It's here.

OOH - postage is included. I don't know whether that covers worldwide....

It arrived yesterday and its just stunning. I love the bag that they came in. The cards look like they are printed on linen and they shufle so beautifully. The book is so easy to understand and follow.

I believe that this may become my favorite deck of all.

I bought the deck shortly after it was published, and was very disappointed, Not so much with the art, but the fact that the images on the cards have been 'stretched' to fit, so they are out of proportion with the original drawings.

Look at the Ace of Coins in the book, then look at the card itself, and you'll see what I mean.

The only cards that haven't been printed out of proportion are the majors. All the minors have been stretched vertically, so anything circular within an image looks egg-shaped. Of course, this affects everything in the images. The characters in the cards look as though they're all on the Atkins Diet.

I emailed the artist to point this out, and asked if she could send me a copy of the deck where the images are correctly printed, and she wrote a hostile message back, more or less telling me to eff off.

My personal feeling is that the art simply isn't good enough to justify putting up with such sloppy printing.

re the Sorrows deck - does it annoy you that the minor arcana have been printed incorrectly, that they have been 'stretched' to fit the card?

Look at the Ace of Coins in the book, then the card itself. You'll see that what should be a circle has now become an egg.

I was annoyed about this. I wrote to the artist, asking her if she could send me a deck where the aspect ratio is correct, and she more or less told me to eff off.

Charming.

Just wondering what you think . . .
