I haven't had any for WEEKS.

Not even of PMs which is a bit of a pain. Is there a glitch ? Anyone else ?

I have noticed that I've only been getting them intermittently. Maybe about half the time I'll get one for a PM or thread follow-up. Something does seem to be a bit broken with them.

Yes this does appear to be a problem. I cannot diagnose any actual problem with the server. It may be that the domain  tarotcollectors.com  has been entered into the spam filters as a spamming site. This then locks many people out of receiving emails from tarotcollectors.com.

People can maliciously report an email address as a spammer. Others can do this by error, as they may have joined the board some time ago and then forgotten all about it, and believe the emails they are receiving as spam.

In any case, there is little I can do about it.  I will report it to the system owners and see if they can do anything about it.

I also haven't gotten any notifications for weeks. Checked the spam folders, but nothing there either. I hope you can solve it, Adam.

This would seem to be a spam related problem.

Sites like this can be put on banned lists by ISP's if someone reports it as a source of spam. Sometimes this ban is removed, and sometimes it isn't. If your ISP bans mail from www. tarotcollectors. com then the messages will not even get to your spam box
but will be refused by the ISP.

Sadly, there appears nothing I can do about this, which is probably a result of some people being overly paranoid about receiving postings and misreporting this site as a source of spam.

People can turn this feature off in their account profile.

The spammers have caused all sorts of problems with email. This is only one of the many consequences of spam.

My ISP lets ME decide these things' there's a spam folder where anything they don't like the look of goes; it is up to me to delete or not. And NOTHING from here has gone into spam. AND I have made sure that this place is listed as somewhere I approve of. But as I say - they are coming through now.

And you can apply to be whitelisted.

Is it just me, or have PM and thread update notifications gotten squirrely again?

Yes I have noticed this too.

It is probably a spam related problem.

This forum is hosted on a US based server WOWBB which supplies bulletin boards.

It is not surprising that with all the emails sent out from this farm of bulletin boards, that there will be people complaining about spam. Then unfortunately, the WOWBB
STMP server gets blacklisted and mail does not get transmitted through to users.

I suppose it will eventually work itself out as the ISP's who blocked WOWBB relax this condition.

It is annoying, but people do get paranoid about messages they perceive as spam. If enough of them complain about a site such as WOWBB then it will get blacklisted.

I'm getting some but not all.

However - there is a MAJOR spam issue just now all over the web, and - for instance - hotmail is blocking all my emails to my DAUGHTER - I am having to use a different account....

Hello gregory,

Perhaps have her check her hotmail BLOCKED LIST in case your e-mail address in on there, or even (more complicated, but not too) check her TOOLS settings.

Cheers! :ro

I'm in her address book ! and most of the time its fine;  just the last couple of days.... It will be someone on our server spamming I suppose - but it is such a SMALL ISP,. I am guessing that  since I reported it they will have been able to test everyone :cl
