'Hooray' meaning you can keep the 8 of swords rather than 'Hooray' because the Queen will take longer!
Phew...!

THAT will take longer, as I had no plans for her whatsoever.
Glad these three hold up though :)
Does the "lovely adorable papoon' know that he won't be able to get a copy of our lovely AND adorable deck? Does he really, I mean really, want to give up that chance? sad, just sad. Last edited on Wed Jun 9th, 2010 04:40 pm by skad1

A poet indeed I used Rimbaud as my page of cups, it felt so much fitting
from wikipedia: "Jean Nicolas Arthur Rimbaud (English pronunciation: /ræmˈboʊ/ or /ˈræmboʊ/, French pronunciation: [aʁtyʁ ʁɛ̃bo]; 20 October 1854 – 10 November 1891) was a French poet, born in Charleville, Ardennes. As part of the decadent movement, he influenced modern literature, music and art. He produced his best known works while still in his late teens—Victor Hugo described him at the time as "an infant Shakespeare"—and gave up creative writing altogether before he reached 21. He remained a prolific letter-writer all his life. Rimbaud was known to have been a Libertine and a restless soul, traveling extensively on three continents before his death from cancer less than a month after his 37th birthday."

Ahhhhhh... I'm really glad to know that - it all fits together beautifully now - he's travelling through the Garden of Earthly Delights and the other place...
But so many of these poets seem to die young...

I like the fishies too. smoosh smoosh (yeah, I know, but they're underwater, so it's smoosh rather than smooch.)

OOO FUN!! At least Mr Figleaf is the dominant feller instead of Mr Bones. Right side of the ground, always a good thing.

Skad, it's direct, clean (in the linear sense rather than the fig leaf sense) and direct - I like it muchly -
but... which blue line is THE one...?

That's one very long and convoluted blue line !
I have a brilliant idea for my Queen - and can't find the photo I took years ago that would fit

You mean we can only have ONE???
When I decided Vitruvian man would be prefect for the wheel, I thought, ah-ha, a card for the women rather than all the nekked women that show up on the cards, but when it came right down to it, he looked uncomfortable, so I gave him alittle modesty.

OK - Queen Swords.... I did have to cheat and scan someone else's night sky - GOD knows I tried - but we don't get real dark this time of year....
What does one think ? She works at manly tasks after being widowed, maybe, or something. Anyway she's pretty; she's on the wall opposite a cafeteria in Bruges of which I am rather fond (it's the Apelbol...)

Probably Ceres - the wall in question did not say !
I feel bad about "cheating" on the sky - but I SO wanted a starry sky - and this time of year it just isn't an option !
I also see I missed a bit of erasing that needs doing, but - thanks; she'll run then. Now I just have to LWB all of them.... HATE that bit !

I dunno.
Angels are always good.
The distortion of the two kissing fish makes me feel a little squeegie. Is there any way around that?

hi nicole....Two of Cups or the Lovers?
this version shows us a pair kissing fish facing each other. better than prior version! really improves the queasiness.
however, the paired fish are small and on the bottom...not appearing very significant. is that what is intended?
if the kissing pair are the main players in the card, u might try moving the kissing pair up a little, toward the top of the card. also, can make 'em slightly larger.
a single angel fish appears by itself at the top of the card...if this is the Lovers, the single fish is there to tempt one of the partners????
composition: right now my eye is split between looking at the top and bottom of the card. might try tightening up the layout.
blue line is excellently positioned! very creative card!

NICE WORK!!!
the proportions really hang together now...the smaller size of the angelfish presents it as a subtle and caring, non-material energy, watching over the lovers.

Some hint for starry night (or heavenly bodies) NASA has put their images online free of charge and royalty free ( think the quantum tarot)

I wish I knew how to do that!
Speaking of the original stuff guilt.. I emailed that guy from the website and he gave me permission to use it ... that alleviated the guilt somewhat... I went to the pet store to do my own and my efforts were a train wreck

Its simple Nicky...you can do it! Any image can be transformed in photoshop, so that original photo or image is not very recognizable. Here is how u can play:
Copy any image to desktop as a jpeg. Open image in photoshop. Select Filter.
I used the filter called Artistic Brushstrokes. Several filters will open under that category, like Neon Glow, Cross Hatch etc. You can sample them all and see which you like. When the image is transformed to your liking, then press Apply.
After i applied the filter i used the Blur Tool and the Lighten Tool to play with the back ground.
