It doesn't say a STRAIGHT blue line. You can draw one around a cat .....:cl

But see - YOU can draw. Most of us - well - can't !

By the way - you owe me an LWB entry .... (OT but since you're passing !)

I note with sadness that "suitcase or luggage" isn't doing too well in the poll.

O, if only we had a swingometer - there's so much political voting going on here...! When will this end? When will we know? And Gregory is so right - you may draw all these things on your cards if it pleases you so to do...!

so it's gonna be a drawn-only deck this time? because you know - and i point this out in all randomness - there are lots of pictures and illustrations of cats out there which can be used in collage work.

(and yes, i owe you  a lwb entry, gregory.)

All ya gotta do is put a suitcase on a blue line...

with a cat looking at it.:cl

No restrictions on type of artwork.  collage, pen and ink, paint, colored pencil, digital....finger paints....

Or draw everything with a blue pen. As someone noted, it doesn't necessarily have to be a straight line. Still, I'm rooting for the cats. :ce

I have just no clue how I would make a card with the theme 'Blue Line'. :f

Does a blue line border count??? :gi

(I do wish I voted cats now instead of animals general... sigh)

Okay, maybe I'm confused ...

But 7 people voted for no theme ... so, why are we having another poll? :f

Because I'm stubborn and I want a theme!    :rr

Ok, the "blue Line" is not a 'theme' per say, just something that needs to be included somewhere.  Like a cat walking down a blue line, etc.

Actually I find a blue line in all the cards a great idea! But just to be confusing: I voted for the cats. There are many cats decks out there - but each deck is drawn by the same person - even if he/she used different cats - still somewhat alike. Imagine 78 cats drawn/collage/etc by so many different people! Everyone expressing it in his/her own style! We would get really unique cats! :ceI find it interesting and so much fun seeing everyone coming up with his/her idea of cat related to a particular card (and there still would be uniformity as cats would appear on all cards)

Edited:

(where did my excited-cat icon disapear? (I added to the post but it does not show)

You sold me. I voted for the cats. Even though I don't know exactly how I will draw one as I am not an artist, :D I voted for them anyway. :m

Your excited cat is there, over to the right at the end of the line.

But surely there has to be a deadline for this damned poll...! Or perhaps skad is waiting for a result she likes
before ending it...:cl

Aw Pen...:kt The result I liked was ducks, or actually *ducks*.

I really just want input, I don't want to make the final decision without people having a say in the matter.

I think the poll ends today.....or tomorrow maybe,  Wed at the latest.  But, if you like, I can creat another.  How about a poll to see if we should have another poll?

I can feel Pen adding an icon now...:ww

What we need now is for everyone voting to plump for either the suitcase, the blueline or the felines.

We can have a new poll for the format...

I'm just wondering what the heck we're waiting for - I thought this was all due to end on Feb 4th yet the poll was renewed and the agony goes on...

And what was the majority vote on Feb 4th? Was it cats? Was it blue lines? Was it suitcases?

It was none of these - it was no theme...:?

Yes - no THEME - this was for a leitmotif, a unifiying object, like....

As the poll was not closed the preference changed since than. Until is still open of course is going to change every day, if people are still voting. I guess is going to end when we decide to end it - maybe it wood be useful to fix a date, anounce it (AND STICK TO IT regardless of the results...) That would involve closing the poll by the end of that day.

or...we can go on for month! ....

On Feb 4, cats and blue lines were even. And this isn't for a THEME, it is for something to appear on each card.

Skad - call time and do as you wish !!!!!

What's the hurry?

There are other important questions to think about beside the theme (if any).

There is a kind of art--the "do it quick doodle"--that some artists excel at. They have a sense of composition, line, color etc that serves them beautifully most of the time. (I think Aya Rosen, who did the Black Lilly deck, falls in that category.  Robyn Hollister's Minute deck is like that, too.)

Sometimes people try to "do it quick doodle" with photoshop and other computer assistance.  That doesn't always look so good.

So what's the hurry?

I'd say it's not the hurry to COMPLETE that is the thing here - it is the hurry to end the endless questions and polls so we are free to take our sweet time doing the cards....

ETA - as in - I have some ideas, but can't even dibs on a card yet, never mind start photographing things..... This way we stand to be rushed during the CREATION process rather than the pre-dibs-discussion bits !!!!

A poll runs for however long the initiator tells it to.  Last time people said they didn't get a chance to vote so I set this one up for a week, I think.  Once it's up and running, you can't change it, and can't see how long it goes for. :?  And my memory doesn't hold long enough to remember what the final date was.

But if I had to make a guess we're into cats!:ce

How come this poll says it's the final, when the previous poll also said it was for the final vote?
I preferred the previous poll's result.
PLEASE, please someone else vote for something other than "cats" on this poll.
HURRY!!!!!

I voted for blue line, only because it was tied with cat. I hope I can vote even though I'm not signed up for a card?

(anything to save the group from a cat theme!)

Where is the information about signing up for a card? I'd like to see what is still available, and what the details are, but thank you for the invitation.

Can we back out if cats wins?

I wonder what people think about this process.
Last time there was no system.  It was kind of "smash and grab," to use the words of, er, Gregory in fact.
