I'm a new tarot collector. I've only been recently introduced to Tarot in the last 12 months, and I've since found treasures beyond my admittedly simple imaginings. So glad to be here to find out more about Tarot.

Now that I'm here, I'll need guidance on what decks are de rigeur, just so I can get up to speed. A budget, that's what I need. And a shopping list. And some chocolate.

No, no, you lead the innocent into deck addiction slowly. Mention the incomparable artworks that fit into the palm of the hand: a mere dozen or two decks to cover the main points of tarot history. Then you mention the rare, but still available, deck on sale on some obscure European website. The rest is inevitable.
