Ok, not that I expect any of you hardcore collectors to just give up their copies. But I thought I post this anyway. I have been looking for the 3 following decks for quite a while:
Bearot
Waite Variation II "A la Prinkle"
Unide Tarot
If I ever obtain the first two, my RWS collection will finally be complete.. sigh. Anyway, if anyone knows where to get these.. give me a yell.

Never even heard of them. But if I ever run in to them, I'll be sure to keep them, now that I know they're rare!

I think it's great that you put it out there. Since finding this forum and other Tarot sites I'm feeling very guilty about having decks that I'm not at all fond of when others really could treasure them. I'm sorry I don't have any of the decks you're seeking.

Hi truelighth
Can you please tell us about the Waite Variation II "A la Prinke". I can't seem to find any info on that.
Found the bears on T Garden, and I'd have to say they are not my thing, so I was just wondering what the other one is like.

The Waite Variation II "A la Prinke" is one of three decks drawn by Witta Jensen en printed by Frank Jensen in a very limited edition. Basically, all three were majors only, very small decks. Witta had redrawn the images of the RWS, but each with their own twist. Basically, these were the decks:
#II-1 - "A la Prinkle" which was the images, but then coloured according to the colour schemes from Rafal T. Prinke as he used them in colouring the Alchemical Tarot (also printed by Frank Jensen in limited edition)
#II-2 - "Metallic Blue on Red" which was basic outlines, not coloured in with metallic blue on red paper (very charming btw)
#II-3 - "My favorite" which was the images, but then coloured with really soft colours.
They were up on Ebay years ago, all three of them and I got two of them: the "my favorite" and the "metallic blue". Another collector got the third. At the time I didn't mind it so much, but now I am looking for it for a while. Unfortunally it was a very limited edition of 30 copies for each.
Btw, there is also a Waite Variation I "Know thy Waite". Which is also small cards, made by Witta Jensen, printed by Frank. Which feature little details of the RWS cards (so you gotta guess which is which). I was lucky to get one of those personally from Frank some years ago .

Ok, so I posted the pictures of the Waite Variations II as Debra requested. Then I realized I better post then in the Show and Tell section. So anyone who is curious, go and check them out there. Sorry about the mess-up and multiple posts (which I hope Adam will remove ). Thanks Adam!!! Last edited on Mon Mar 2nd, 2009 09:24 pm by truelighth
