I would say a unifiing theme or subject or element, but something simple that all can relate to or can easily find material about (for those using collage or photography).
So not Nobel pricewiners from St Lucia (for these interested to know there are only 2: Derek Walcott, Literature, 1992 & Sir Arthur Lewis, Economics, 1979 )
tarot of radioactive duck-squirrel hybrid vigilantes using the woo woo philosophy of the Red Line to protect their far-off planet from invasions by mad parrot collectors?

Now that I have to see! Could you show us a sample?
I like the idea of every card having something about tarot in the tarot card itself...
like the tower card having a collection like Gregory's or Adams' cascading down decks.. or a two of pentacles juggling decks...OK not exactly that but you get the idea...
each card having a tarot deck on it in some way....
How about a 22 card deck for the Quackers Ducky deck, for those with a quirky sense of humor, and a 78 card deck with a more serious theme, or none at all. Or just the red line. So not Nobel pricewiners from St Lucia.
Hey, I just had a flash (ok, a lightbulb appeared over my head, just for a second). How about a rainbow deck. Heck with just a red line, but the whole spectrum.

or a blue line, etc. Or a star?
I like the star idea! Red line and blue line are nice, too!

<ducks>
I also like the suitcase idea. Suitcases can symbolize traveling, secrets, communication, closing, opening ...
Or going beyond the suitcase idea to include steamer trunks, and how about methods of travel, such as trains, planes, ships, automobiles, horses, bicycles, walking ... Now I guess that is starting to sound kind of "out there." Or even methods of communication, such as ... a suitcase full of letters, stamps, pens, pencils, stationery ...
Or each suit could have something in it. Like Wands could have a red line, Pentacles could have a suitcase (representing material things?), Swords could have a postage stamp in them, and Cups could have a rainbow.
Hmmm, now that I read another thread, meant to add, I did not get the chance to vote on either of these polls, but I would also be fine with having no theme at all, and it might be my preference since I am new at all this.
