 You need a  box for don't mind. Cos as long as it isn't something FEARFUL like fractals or what was that thing suggested last year - chimeras ? I don't mind one way or the other. As long as I can find one to photograph !!

 Oh. I came back to say OK to have a leitmotif (!!!) - as in a recurring THING - but I'd rather not a THEME - it feels limiting.... Off to vote...

 I voted for theme. heh but I hope a horizontal deck orientation fits under "unifying element."
