Just a note to say how much I appreciate the amount of work Adam does here. Four of those artists that I have been introduced to here produced work that I am following up  (I have downloaded all the available images i could find)... Once again Adam - Many thanks!

It raises the interesting question of what "publishing" means in the age of digital files and on-line images. There are some I'd love to have, that's for sure.
:D

I am not sure I see any ambiguity here. If I am not able to hold the set of cards, or the book containing illustrations in my hands then it remains unpublished.

I expect a rush of postings proving other meanings to the word "publishing",
but we actually all know what it means.

Probably won't get much discussion now, I guess. I'll just say, printed with permission of the artist or their agent. Or, maybe just printed.

I hold it in my hand, it's published, i'd say.

I am one of the silent followers and I enjoyed watching that blog a lot, although it is rather sort of teasing to see all these distinctive, weird and inspiring bits of art, most of which will probably never be printed.

BTW Adam, did you try to focus on designs that are complete (some apparently aren't) or did you not mind about that? I am asking because I did a big search on deviantart once and was overwhelmed by the sheer amout of promising designs with only a couple of cards being done before the artists lost steam or rushed off to the next project.

Marie Maier has a new site, where you can buy the originals of her tarot paintings, but as yet no deck: http://www.marieliliomeshop.com/TAROT-Originaux-c-47.html

Thanks for the show of interest in the Unpublished Tarots page.

At the moment all my research and writing time is taken up with
creating my Study Course on Surrealism for Youtube,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJUmFr54TZE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FngpGW1cvMw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg0MS3jEFPY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_p4SUdh32g

- today, for example, I am trying to find the time to complete the
next one on the British Surrealists.

So I probably won't have the time to put up items regularly on
Unpublished Tarots page.

Just to also add my voice. I was sad when I read your post that you didn't hear anything back about the unpublished tarots blog. Because I really do appreciate it. I just didn't speak out about it. I appreciate all your work on tarot on your site. And most of these unpublished tarots would otherwise remain unknown. So thank you.:tt
