What else do you do?
Besides Tarot I like to use dowsing rods and pendulums, though I'll occasionally use water to scry. The dowsing rods I have used were my moms and one got lost, anyone know a good place to get a pair?

Other than Tarot or oracles...
I use patterns in wood, tiles, carpets or anything really....I've done that since I was a child...always came naturally....
Water & fire scrying I've used often and love both....I've always wanted to try black mirrors or a crystal ball as well.
The wind is my deepest and most spiritual method.

he more natural the better :) I've tried smoke scrying, but found that smoke rises to quickly and I don't tend to grasp any images from it, though I've always wanted to.
Have you ever tried scrying with dandelion tea? (you drink the liquid and then the loose leaf petals form an image on the bottom of the cup). I haven't done it in years, but found it quite effective.

I love Divination techniques of all kinds!
I have a hundred or so Oracle decks that live among my tarot
I do lithomancy, and drop-stone readings. I also have a huge sortilege bag of random stuff for readings. as well as special bones, and pebbles...
I do tea leaf and coffee grounds, ceromancy, water scrying, pendulum (not very good at it though!) bibliomancy, Augury, palmistry, intuitive spirit guide art, and a couple of my own oracles...Dreamstones (another drop stone technique) and Crowstones based on folk rhymes.
And of course random thing rreadings...like M&Ms, leaves, sticks, carpet fibre, straws, cream in coffee, bathtub scum...etc!
I wrote a book on divination, but I am too nervous to actually do anything with it.

You should do something with your book, Chronata.
Trust yourself and your creativity!

I love listening to plants and trees.
Plus, there is the cutest blue-moon man in my bathtub...he always makes me smile.

I have used many forms of divination, from the Tibetan Mo system published over a decade ago, to the original Ralph Blum runes.
One of the most obscure sets I have is one allegedly from Africa called "the bones". It consists of a small reed basket filled with shells, clay tablets, crystals and other bits and pieces. Its very intuitive, since you shake the objects in the basket onto a small sheet. The patterns they make on the sheet tell you what the "spirits" are saying.
The instructions are printed on 6 photcopied sheets with somewhat crude drawings. I picked it up about 20 years ago and have never seen its like since.
Its quite fascinating. I have the feeling that it may represent an authentic Sangoma system. It certainly seems more true to form than the "African" divination system that Raymond Buckland published quite some time ago.
If I posted the instructions, would anyone be able to tell if it is generally authentic?
