Hi, I'm new to tarot and selected a few decks I would like to have (although just beginning with Mystic Dreamer and Universal Waite decks).
The decks I seem to be most attracted to and feel I would like to have are not the most accessible. Anna K is one I would like to have, yet it seems that is on hold. Anyone else familiar with this deck? I also thought Ananda looked very interesting, but again, seems there are no big dealers who carry.
I'm drawn to decks that don't feel too cutesy, theme-oriented, more etheral without being very fairy and pixie like. I thought Infinite Visions was an interesting deck, but out of my price range (although I emailed lady who does this deck and she said she was going to start offering at about the third of the cost, but you get on sheets and must have cut).
Would enjoy hearing any advice on someone just beginning. I know it's probably not good to start out with many decks (which is why beginning with just Mystic and UW decks), but hard not to want more! There are so many great decks out there.

Thank you, Nicole! You're all wayyy ahead of me, so I am reading your posts with great interest. Tarot decks seem a bit like potato chips, you can't stop at one!

Hello and welcome. The Ananda isn't hard to find. Tarotgarden has it in stock.
Do not go there until you are feeling rich, though; it is a primrose path to bankruptcy.....

Thank you, Gregory! I can already tell that I will be spending some bucks
Because I'm so new, I am holding off because I don't want to become more distracted and overwhelmed than I already am (although actually what I'm reading seems enjoyable and not hard to fathom so far). It's all those decks...calling to me...
