Hi Arnell
Thanks for your kind words. The Fool is 95% finished, but need the help of my daughter in law to put on Tarot Collectors site! Sad I know, but not good with pixy thingies!
Very excited, had the first set of sample cards from my printer for The Hezicos Tarot I am like a child in a sweet shop can't stop me know. Hoping to get my deck out there in the next two months, and thank you all for your encouragement, means so much.
The Fool will see you all soon.
Love and light

Since my Mom had an (unrealized) dream of being married in an enchanting setting, for the 4 of Wands, I transported my parents to a lovely Cathedral in Italy. My sister would prolly kill me if she saw that I made us the fat little cherubs hovering above whilst waiting to be born. 4 Sunflower stalks adding a bit of Wands energy to a rather Waite-Smith inspired scene.
This is my final card for our deck. And if it’s okay with Skad1 and Blue Toy, I will send my 2 completed cards as 300 dpi tiffs in the 3 x 4.5 size to Blue Toy? Thanks again for doing all that work for us. This is such a fun project. I’m looking forward to seeing all the cards!!

Thanks so much Pen! Nice hearing your thoughtful feedback...I especially enjoyed making this card while thinking of my folks and all. Luckily you can't really see my sister and my cubby baby faces on those cherubs since the card is so small heh heh
Warmly,

Arnell, wonderful card! I also like the story behind it. It is cool that you could put your parents in a church this way. When I see this card, I will always think about your story.
And totally unrelated to the cards:

I dunno, Gregory. But when reading this while seeing your avatar, I got this image of a blue cat being all entangled in a piece of rope, while trying to free itself. The cat it that vision being you of course...

Do you live half year in each country? Doesn't that feel schizophrenic? With whatever you are looking for being across 'the pond'.
Now about that rope....at first I pictured a piece of animated rope that was tickling you when you weren't looking. Of course, as soon as you looked at it, it became a plain un-animated rope. Think snake charmer type rope, with a sense of humor. Then I thought "rope, oh dear!" Then I thought of boy scouts and their talent for knots.... Then I thought I better get back to work!

I love that important people are being memorialized in our deck. The cards so far have been really awesome, but the personal touches really add something special.
Maybe next years deck could be "The Tarot Collectors Forum's People deck" or "The People of the Tarot Collectors Forum" .
Yes Gregory, NEXT YEARS! aka 2010 wow. 2010 who'd of thought?

Not half exactly - but a lot of time over in Canada - and schizzy yes - but not for that reason - and I am getting better at it. But the dial up is just AWFUL, I confess !
I think I will go deal with that rope and post something....

Don't forget the Rope-a-dope. Originally thought to be soap on a roap, but seems to fit for the Hanged Man?

Now I got to do the write-ups...yikes! Thanks Skad1.
I love looking at our deck as it evolves on Page 1....makes the anticipation more rewarding.
I sure like your clever Hangman Gregory. A very refreshing way of perceiving that card!

Thanks all. Truelighth - I can tell you how I did that by PM if you REALLY want to know.
I INTENDED (!!!!!) him to be trying to dive in to something and being held back by something.... and needing to hang there to work it all out....
And damn me if someone hasn't seen my issue with the rope too.... more work needed I guess

Ehmm.. I don't think I really need to know. But it is cool! And yes, I was thinking he was diving into that waterfall and being held back. Btw.. bungie-jumping is also a way to be held back.. you just bounce and bounce... lol!
Anyway, I think the message does come across.. to me at least.

I would think so. Your new rope looks more... like a real rope.. if you know what I mean. It works very well. I like the fact that it is thicker at the top of the card. And that it really has rope colour and blends in more with the nature.Last edited on Sat May 9th, 2009 12:26 am by truelighth

That was NOT what I was thinking - indeed, I quite DELIBERATELY removed the textiles he used to have . He looked silly in swimming trunks.....

No - isn't hanging quite sensibly. But he is now !
Bluetoy - tiff files - do you want them mac or PC - and what level of compression ? (none, LZW, Zip or JPEG mine offers me....)

PC - none. Though I can always convert the final thing to MAC (I think!) if that's what the press needs. Good Hanged Man, by the way. I think I updated the "card" image list using your old one. I shall change that tomorrow.

Probably you, Skad1...
Anyway, more on card news. I have been working on my cards.. finally! But now I am faced with having multiple versions of the 4 of swords and the 8 of swords, so I will need to evaluate and make a choice before I will post them. Problem is, I like all versions... But I will post them soon... I hope!

Naw, my nose isn't that big!
Doesn't that look like a person, or something, kneeling on the tree branch?

Here it is at last. Sorry to be so slow but in the last 12 months (come Thursday) since my Dad died, my mother has had a series of falls. She's managed to break both thighs, each on separate occasions, fracture a vertebra, and maybe (still awaiting results), a rib. I'll her busy nurse. Oh, and I had knee surgery just over a week ago. Big deal. Just too busy for anything much.

Nicole,
Seeing your first 6 of swords so often as your avatar is having an odd effect - I'm liking it more and more (and more and more)! In fact I think I love it now. A little bit of genius went into its making methinks...! We should have them both...

Wow, Mythos! What a great Chariot card, its very powerful. I'm real sorry to hear of all the personal difficulties you've had to experience this past year...that's so sad Mythos, my heart goes out to you.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful art and being a part of this special deck even thru dealing with all these challenges in your life.
Warmly,
