I don't know how it happened but my two versions of Temperance came up in the wrong place - sorry Adam. I think I clicked 'New Topic' by mistake. Can they be moved or shall I edit them out and put them here?

Here are the two versions of Temperance (in the right place!) - both need a little more work. Attached Image (viewed 987 times):

"You know I had to look at them side by side before I could choose. Initially I liked the other one too, but in the end I decided I liked this one. Blue/violet is my favorite color, so I tend towards that one, but I think the details of the card show up better with the lighter background.
OK, I looked at them again. I still like #1 best, but the #2 makes the central design stand out more, and #1 emphasises the woman's head more. So I guess it depends on which is more important to you.
The more I look at them, the more I'm amazed. wow"

"I like this better too. The purple BG somehow has a nice, "heavier" feel than the other one.
I have to say, I really really like the overlapping levels in this work. And the bird detail's just really cute "

I've tried to tidy up the muddle by putting the images where they belong and copying and pasting the comments on each one - thanks people.

That's fabulous Demien! Deceptively simple (design-wise) and quite startling (I like to be startled by a tarot image) to see for the first time. I love it!

WOW it looks like this new deck's going to look real good. I like that wheel card. Very apt, actually. I can very much relate to it, especially because the local word for fate/fortune here's the same word for palm (probably the pre-Hispanic, Indian influence).

Many Thanks! Hand (10 Yod-Wheel) and Palm of Hand (11 Mercury-Strength) says it all.

Hi Pen
Love your Temperance..its beautiful and so unusual. I prefer the darker purple background.
Can't believe you are so quick and efficient! Will have to get my skates on now.
Have been away and now catching up on the posts but cant find the post re the border and card wording Pen, think its thin black border with name of card in any style on bottom of card. Is that right?
Thanks Pen

Hi Blue Bubble,
Thanks for the feedback re. Temperance - it seems that the purple background's the one.
Re. the card backgrounds - I think they're provisonally black, but I understood that all that's needed from the artists is the image, as the backgrounds and text will probably all be done at the same time by whoever does the formatting (to keep everything consistent). Looking forward to your Fool!

Thanks also for the feedback Blue Bubble. As for the borders, like what Pen said, they're just provisionary. I think I read somewhere in the other thread that the images themselves have to be 2.5 by 3.75 or something with a similar ratio.

Hi, here is my Empress. I'm still a bit shy and in awe of the true artists that are contributing to this. This is at least my own photo that I took while on vacation. I had to size it down to a low enough resolution to be able to attach it but I hope you get the idea. She evokes the serenity and terror of creation for me, timeless, above reproach, protective and, well, older than dirt. Attached Image (viewed 818 times):

Love it !
Here are a PRELIMINARY set of threes; I am in the process of changing the pents and the wands as we speak.... but the backgrounds remain as is.
ETA - now amended. As far as I know, this is THEM, the end.

Starting work on the minors I signed up for also. Here is my Page of Cups. My page is a bit in the cups but I loved the jolly 'look into the abyss and the abyss looks back' feeling on this one. After all, Shakespeare wrote for our hearts, our consciences and our subconscious. Attached Image (viewed 747 times):

Wow!
Gregory: Good series. The pics you took especially for the swords and cups are perfect for the cards.
Marcia: Those are pretty powerful images you took. I like the empress and page of cups most. The empress is especially fitting because of the ancient feel. The page cups is just really wonderfully startling (if a bit creepy).
La Luna: Cool cups! What's that cup beside the blue one called? I mean, is it particularly famous? It looks interesting...

Just so people know - the background for wands is fireweed. I hope someone picks up on that....

Omg, so many people already finished their cards. I still have to start. I got some ideas, but actually putting them into action....
Anyway, La-Luna that Moon is gorgeous! I really like that you used Pixie in that card! And BlueToy, your queen is also lovely again. I wish I could make art like you do!
