Well, the title cards have all been signed and numbered, and each finished deck tucked up in leafy green hand-made paper and sealed in with a sticky leaf.
Each of the 100 sets is safely in its unique hand covered and decorated box with a 50 page LWB, and the snails are sleeping peacefully in their little spiral houses.
It has taken almost 18 months to complete The Wild Green Chagallian Tarot, but now it's ready to make its debut. So much passion has gone into this creation, I do hope you like it...

Wow, this is marvelous.
I did not understand the title at first.
Then I looked at the cards and said, "Hmmm. This reminds me of Chagall."
Then I read the little description....
....and I looked at the title again....
....and as I said, this is just marvelous!

Sorry - I have company !!!!
I did actually undo it that way, but it was a ghastly few moments.... Come undone - NO chance. But it was all so well wrapped in the film - would it have mattered ?
But I hope everyone expecting one reads this too.... It's not the first such deck that has had me worried... Diary of a Broken Soul was another - and there was one where I actually had to CUT a large round sticker through its centre with a Xacto knife.... It HURTS me to do that, but there was no prayer it would open any other way.
Just a thought for all you beautiful people wrapping beautiful things.....

I have even been known to cut out bits of the boxes if the artist draws on them.

and the whole set is wonderfull from box to internal pacjaging to name card to all the cards to the lwb, well everyting!

oh this is just gorgeous, Pen!!!
a brilliant idea that actually (from scans) was brilliantly put into physical realm and I am sure it also reads wonderfully... as I can hear the pictures singing just by watching them on your website and I feel the heat of the sun and the breeze...
I wish I had some cash, I hope I can afford this treasure while it is still available. Actually I am thinking of putting it to #1 on the wishlist instead of the long wanted Tarot of Trees... *idea!*

Congratulations on this Pen! The colours look very rich and lovely. As an aside, I've noticed there's this current trend to reimagine and even combine past things/works/etc like in speculative literature, alternate histories (even... reappropriating things) and I'm glad to see this trend's also finding it's way into tarot. Again, lovely work. :)

Hopefully there's not a lot of re-appropriation - I think perhaps The Lovers and Temperance are the ones that come nearest to direct quotation. Rather I've reimagined some of Chagall's characters in different situations, and invented others - hopefully they have a Chagallian feel about them.
A few buyers have contacted me to say that they've had fun looking through images of his paintings to find my sources of inspiration...

Oh no, I just used reappropriation as a general example, like how products nowadays "recycle" and "reappropriate" parts of other products. It's like reinvention and something more... general's one thing that characterizes our time. Anyways, it's a beautiful set. Really loving that Death card. :)

I just ordered this deck as a very early birthday (actually in June) present for myself today (it will be from my as yet, unsuspecting and very generous husband)...won't he be surprised. heh heh. Can't wait for its arrival, oops I mean until June when I can actually open the package. That will be a real test of a Gemini's patience, let me tell ya I was so thrilled with your gorgeous Pen Tarot which is a favorite in my collection...and now this colorful deck with an entirely different energy and style - it’s going to be equally captivating and inspirational I can tell just from the images on your site and from the great feedback you’ve been getting. Hello again...
Apologies for the similar post (just come from one for The Pen Tarot).
Just to say that Pen's Guide to The Wild Green Chagallian Tarot is now available on Amazon. It features all the cards, only they're slightly smaller than the originals. I've formatted it with the text on the left next to the spine and the card images on the right next to the opening edge of the book, which is wider than it is long. An original back is on the reverse of each image, so theoretically it's possible to cut the book in half and laminate and trim each image to end up with a complete guide book and a set of cards. The image on the front cover could then be used on a suitable box lid.
I hope no one minds - I've had so many requests for the cards themselves that I thought this might be an acceptable alternative as I don't republish limited editions.
