I assume we will have to pay import duties and VAT - and that the Royal Mail will make a killing on the 8 quid they charge to collect (in the worst case of my collecting life) 89p. I think now they don't bother with less than a pound, but that REALLY hacked me off.
I would LIKE to think there will also be a system as there is in the US, where you don't pay taxes on the state you buy FROM, but only the taxes of the state you live in. But successive UK governments have been so incompetent at negotiations (I have some SHOCKING examples from the NHS, I assure you ! Not to mention the MoD paying five pounds per SPECIAL screw for ones you can buy for $5 per box of 100 in any hardware store in N America (I just did, and was reminded of this as I paid !) that we will probably end up having to pay BOTH.
I am very annoyed about this. I have feelings about Brexit anyway - but no-one is bothering to mention the day-to-day implications for all of us. No more driving across the channel for cheap booze...
Oh - there shouldn't be any change to actual postage charges. They are not priced "across the EU" in most countries anyway. Think of when you send a deck to Germany or something... Noticeably more than sending it to Glasgow. Now if Scotland goes indy....
