Hello! I joined some months back, but I don't think I said hi, and have just now come back here following the news at AT. Some of you may know me from there as RavenOfSummer. I've also joined Cartomancy and a couple of the new forums under that username.
Anyway I'm glad to be here! I made my first post earlier today over in the Members Wanted List (ISO of the Carol Herzer Starlight Illuminated!!!). I'm hoping to start checking in here more. It's nice to see some familiar faces here as well :)
About me, I currently live in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. I grew up in the Philadelphia area. I've also lived in the UK (London) for a couple of years and worked for a nonprofit there. Then I came back to the States for grad school and lived in Boston for a couple of years. I've also lived for shorter periods in Dublin, Rome, New York, and Freetown (Sierra Leone). I have traveled a lot throughout sub-Saharan Africa, mostly for work, and a lot throughout Europe as well. These days I don't travel as much, since I've changed career paths and left full time work, and am working from home pursuing my lifelong dream of creative writing. I write novels, screenplays and teleplays, creative nonfiction, and a little bit of poetry. My husband's father is from India, so most of my international travel has been there lately :) I'm also a part-time reader and copy editor for an online literary magazine that publishes creative nonfiction.
Well I think this is the longest bio I've written for any forum I'm on! I'm glad to have an opportunity to be a part of this community.
