Can you date a RWS deck by just the cards?

 Hello everybody this will be my first post! I'm really new to tarot but already caught the collector's bug and I was hoping to get some help.

I recently obtained a RWS deck and the previous owner also received it already used with no box, LWB and extra cards. The cards have the copyright (the shorter "© 1971 US Games"), Pixie's handwriting, and the cards itself are papery with no gloss, shine, or lamination of any kind.

Based on Mary K Greer's AT post (http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?s=22b16afb907bdbb9bfd49461720f50bc&t=85278) copyright on the cards started ~1975, the cards started to become plasticized ~1985 and Pixie's handwriting was removed ~1995 for computer font. So if this info is correct my deck is from around 1975-1985?

Is this correct? Can anybody with their own collections of RWS confirm my deductions?

 It's very difficult to say from just the cards. It sounds a little like one I have that has a Stamford, CT address. The cards are a little thin and feel like they have no finish at all. Per the LWB it's a 28th printing.

 @Abrac thanks for the help! Based on what others have posted about their LWB printing then that would mean its most likely a late 80s early 90s deck
