Hi all I spend my days composing orchestral music, writing, reading, playing with my dogs and taking care of my pet pigeon. My interest in tarot started when I was 15, which is more than ergh-ty years ago. Now that I've retired from other activities, I have more time to dedicate to tarot. I'm particularly interested in the history of tarot. I'm currently looking for a high-quality scan of the original RWS Pamela Roses & Lilies deck, and who knows, perhaps one day I'll be able to own one myself. |

Thank you, Gregory, glad to be part of it ! Yes, I did see those links. Unfortunately the images are only 300dpi, even where it says 1200dpi. In fact, I've been corresponding with Kenji on twitter, who tells me that when he uploaded the 1200dpi images they were automatically converted to a lower resolution. I hope that Kenji will let me help him upload the original 1200dpi images (I was an I.T. consultant in my previous life). Unfortunately the scans of Pam-A Roses & Lilies which were provided by Truelighth are 300dpi to start up with. I wonder whether Truelighth would let me take new 6400dpi scans of her deck, if she happened to live in my neck of the woods (I live in Belgium)? I hear that there are very few Pam-A Roses & Lilies around. It would make it great fun to analyse the cards at that resolution for the smallest printer's oddity and Pam's artist touch. |

PM her. She's in the Netherlands. |

Oh, that's a coincidence, my in-laws also live in the Netherlands. Dus zouden we in het nederlands kunnen spreken. That's about how far I go with my Dutch :/ I'll do that. Thank you for your suggestion. I didn't realise that many members from the old tarotforum.net are over here. Last edited on Sun Sep 26th, 2021 03:43 pm by TheThumbPuppy |

Oh yes -and those interested in reading issues are also - congregating in - well, I would say one in particular, as most of them seem to me to be, but there are, as they say, "other forums out there". Last edited on Sun Sep 26th, 2021 05:58 pm by gregory |

Although a discussion of a reading could be interesting, I haven't found a good tarot readers forum so far... I'm probably more interested in "theoretical" questions, than reading questions. For instance, I find the attempts to link tarot and astrology in a unifying theory rather disappointing. I've tried to come up with my own. So far my "research" – for lack of a more modest word – is pointing at re-introducing 2 extra court cards for each suit – similarly to the Visconti di Modrone deck.
