Does anyone have any images of the Tarot Gitano by Yasna Romni? Apparently it has 24 cards and I would like to know if this has tarot structure or is yet another oracle deck.

There's one for sale on ebay with a VERY bad picture of the box back showing some:

The seller is one well known to many of us; I'm sure he'd answer.

But - he says it has 78 cards... I have asked. They don't LOOK very tarot.

And he has responded. And corrected his listing.

24 cards. And the images on the box don't look very tarot at all.

Thanks for looking into this. I will probably pass on this
one as it does not appear, as you say, to have a tarot structure.

Google translate:

Gypsies gift of all known to be a nomadic, rootless physical to a particular place and with customs own ethnic differentiated from the rest of Europe, perhaps precisely because of this continuous traffic have led since time immemorial. It is well known tradition in Roma culture and the arts of divination through the centuries. The origin of the tarot is linked to ancient Egypt, some historians say that the gypsies come from there, though others say living in northern India. But we know that this ethnic group migrated to Central Europe, Romania, Hungary and France in the ninth century is therefore very difficult for them to take the tarot since created later, specifically the Marseille tarot originated between the fifteenth and XVIII, and being inspired by the gypsy tarot of Marseille hardly could have taken earlier in Egypt. But it is true that Roma culture have always encouraged the spirituality and mysticism, hence his performances in the tarot cards have been taken into account, even today. Logically they have adapted the original Tarot de Marseille its people and therefore have specific characteristics. It was very common until now that besides having musical and dance skills, maintain a cheerful and preserve family values, among Gypsies is a relevant figure is the "fortune teller". Attend a roll of this type can be an experience in itself, regardless of the outcome for the person who goes in search of some answers. This form of a spread has been handed down by word of parents to children and little is written about it other than by means other than one's ethnicity. During his wanderings across Asia and Europe, the Roma acquired some knowledge of futurology that are already legendary. Everyone knows his or her hand reading 'fortune', that have been practicing for more than 500 years. But as we respect ourselves, what interests us is the knowledge of the Tarot. Apparently absorvieron all knowledge about medieval refers cartomancy, from Italian to Spanish courts, through all Central Europe, modifying and adapting this knowledge in their own way. Most commonly, a gypsy tarot reading is that the Spanish deck is used, due to their greater availability suppose, so focus their readings in less arcane, more detailed than the greater and greater complexity. The Tarot Gypsy is based on a deck of cards contains 78 cards with different figures like the Tarot of Marseilles are divided among 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. In the gypsy tarot minor arcana are divided into four different suits of 14 cards each are: Pentacles, Cups, Swords, Wands. There are two aspects gypsy tarot cards to differentiate, these letters are positive and negative letters. Among the positive we can meet those related to marriage, love, a good trip, Fertility, Fortuna, rich person, job, etc.. The negative correspond to betrayal, disenchantment loving, theft or sadness. And we find in the Tarot Gitano neutral cards, which are those of your thoughts, Hope, One Death, Judgment, Long Road and Judge. To interpret these letters have always been certain of the Roma people who have done better, given these qualities that keep the fact of going through the world knowing other people and experiences. As today also this is very relative, internet and telephone lines offers the possibility to contact people from this practice easily understood by the tarot and so interesting and full of wisdom. The method Watching the moon, hear the sounds of the forest, decipher the crackling of the fire, clouds analyze what they say ... For centuries, Gypsies signs sought to know what the future held for them. Over time they developed an oracle himself picked its main symbols of power, who recorded them in the cards that make the deck gypsy today. In this work, Yasna Romni introduces the reader to the mysteries of this ancient oracle for their images through both discover the keys to understand the past to understand the present and find out where it should go in the future

Thanks for this amusing restatement of the "Egyptian-Gypsy" origin of tarot. I loved the romanticed picture of "Watching the moon, hear[ing] the sounds of the forest, decipher[ing] the crackling of the fire". Irresistible to some, risible waffle to others.
Even with this lengthy description its structure still remains unclear to me, as though it states it is based on the Tarot of Marseilles, it then seems to suggest it is something different. Perhaps the meaning is lost in translation.
