I know we all have wish lists (or we probably wouldn't be on this forum!).  What top three do you most want next?

Mine, in order, ANNA K, BOHEMIAN GOTHIC and well, there are more than a few vying for third place!

Methinks you are a bit obsessed with the Anna K deck.
Perhaps you should buy one as soon as possible.

You're right, Adam!  I'm sure you know what it's like when you get one deck in mind.  The fact it ISN'T available in the second edition yet, makes me want it even more!  I know that doesn't hurt the attraction there!  You know how you connect with certain decks?  Different ones for different reasons?  Anna K is just one that feels comfortable and familiar when I look at the images.  On the other side, Bohemian Gothic, well, obviously something in me identifies with that one as well, not sure what that says about me:hp!

Hello WhiteMoon,

Anna K is only bad like Bohemian Gothic is.
Bohemian Gothic was well made for his public (But, I am not, white, woman, and I am more than 50 years... and it is a inesteresting deck) (yes, yes)...
I do not cry about this Anna K, and I do not cry about Bohem...

Why...

I am like everybody here, I love collect...
But

I love collect decks who are elsewhere, with interesting point of view,
with original design or meanings...

What do we search in art? We search an original making. An original thinking...
If I need a "tarot art" like an real art, I have to be inflexible.

I have find some with TCF... and I have also see a lot of anecdotal decks....

V!

Merci, Pale!  Well, I am white, a woman and 59.  I don't know if that makes me a traditional fan of Bohemian Gothic!  I tend to think about things a little, or a lot, differently than many people.  I don't think I fall into many categories people think other people should fall into:ro

Collecting is so personal.  The subconscious speaks to us through our choices of any thing in life, but I think maybe especially so with something like the tarot decks.

Now I reallly want to be able to compare older and new editions! I wish I had seen first edition of B.G. in person, instead of just online.  I am content to be getting new version, I THINK, but since I haven't seen all new cards yet....

Some of the ones on the top of my wishlist are not yet published (and I can just pray they will be in the future). They are:

- Cat's Eye Tarot

- Phantomwise Tarot (78 version)

- Mary-El Tarot (78 version)

There were more of them, like the Tarot of the Sidhe, Ly's Nouveau deck, Gaian, Tarot of Black Mountain and Shadowscapes, but these will be published soon and I already got them on pre-order.

The top 3 of my wishlist of decks that are not pre-ordered and are published is:

- Bearot

- Unide Tarot

- Dark Horse Tarot

And happily I recently could take the Waite Variation II-1 "A la Pringle" of this list.. yahoo! :ce

Oh, dear, I'm in trouble!  I also asked about trumps only decks in another thread and have been looking at those decks as well and fallen for several.  I can see where any extra income will be going for quite some time!  I had hoped my interest might wane after getting a few decks, but after reading posts how many decks some of you have, well, you're NOT good influences for my wallet!!  I...want...them...all   :f  lol

My wish list holds only one deck now --a vintage Traveller's Tarot --since recently acquiring both the Sibilla Della Zingara and the miniature Albano-Waite decks.

I look forward to the Anna K, if and when it becomes available; however, it is not on my official wish list.

... Tarotholics "Unanimous" ...that's very cool nicole  :D

With threads like this we get more like AT everyday!
But here goes anyway...

1835 Gumppenberg Soprafino
1910 Eudes Picard
1929 John Augustus Knapp (very envious of bolaris' copy!)

...then again, maybe tomorrow it could become:-

1893 Giovanni Vacchetta
1921-22 Arthur Waite's 2nd attempt
1960s ? Crowley Sangreal

That's right Gregory, dreams are free, but my credit card interest is not! :sd

But Spirit, this IS tarot collectors forum, right?  I think it's great to read what collectors most covet :hp   Besides it seems many like to share what they most want looking at the views!  It's great because I'm so new and it's nice reading about so many I hadn't heard of.

updated wishlist:

Minotarot - just missed one in an ebay not long ago, the original copy was offered to me for sale but I can't afford it, unfortunately
Kazanlar - limited edition as a sheet, update, original Hungarian publisher went bankrupt and I managed to acquire all the extra sheets for the 22 majors which were used for the cover of the book, unfortunately the publisher did not leave them in the sheet, arranged into decks instead, still if I can't have the book at least I have the cover :gi
Udovichenko - still need a few more cards to complete the deck
Ironwing

The reason for the update is that I bought the Yonah Tarot and the Bilder Zum. The remaining wish list is still financially lethal. Don't get addicted :f

Too funny, Forkissma!  I couldn't afford to if I wanted to!  I look for those few decks I REALLLY want and that I will keep, not trade or sell.  I have few on my wish list.  I would still like to find Tarot Whispers, but not in a big hurry.  A few others aren't out yet.  I wish I would have even known about Bohemian Gothic Silver before it was sold out.  I do really love looking at various decks though, especially foreign ones.  Maternal side of family is from the Carpathian Mountains and I especially love seeing decks from that part of the world.

Just a thought, F.  You could put your credit card in a box with a time lock to avoid some buys:ro

I have decided that I have 2 wish lists.  The maybe I can get one day, and the "Yeah, right, like I'll ever afford that!" list.

Actually there's a third list, generated by this forum, it's called the "What are they talking about, I never heard of that deck before.  Ohhhhh I wanna!" list.

All lists are subject to change, and limiting it to 3 is darn near impossible.

Butler Tarot (original limited edition)
Deutsches Original Tarot
Teddy Tarot

Oh yeah, and Shadowscapes, and Kippen Tarot, and Goose is Out, and Glass Tarot No. 2 and Rock & Roll Tarot, 1 or 2, and SEED, and Tarot 88, New York Tarot and  Tarocchi Del Carnevale Di Venezia and and and and and and and

If you want to see the "yeah right" list, see Gregory and truelight and quarkling, etc...

I just had one drop off my list for the very, very best reason.  I have wanted the Topsy Turvey World of Taroc since the first time I saw it.  And now, thanks to member of this forum, I have it!

:ce:ce:ce

And two tarot's that I had to get because of the names  THe Woo Woo and the Broccolli.  Yes, I had to get them. Just to say I got the Woo Woo :hp

WOO WOO and BROCCOLI?!?!  ALLLL RIGHTY THEN!   I may have to check those out.  I have my unicorn deck or decks that I may never even see upclose and personal, but it's good to have things to wish for, even if they don't happen, right?

I know MANY collectors here have so many of the ones they wanted, but I would guess most have at least a couple they haven't been able to acquire....yet!

Thanks for sharing those decks with me, Skad.  I would never have thought to try to find them online.  Woo Woo and Broccoli don't readily come to mind when I think about....tarot:bl

I wish that there were only a few decks that I had yet to acquire. Actually, my list has several hundred decks long. Then there are the new decks that continually pop up..............!!

If you check out the database at Tarot Garden, you'll find a host of decks. The Broccoli Tarot is listed there. The Woo Woo Tarot is one of four decks created by Dawn Williams (Gothic, Electric, Pet, and Woo Woo) Her website is themysticeye.com

LOL! I got that list too (generated by this forum alright). But the list usually doesn't last long, because it is more like a "What are they talking about, I never heard of that deck before. Ohhhh I wanna! I find it, I buy it" list in my case :gi

And talking about that.. Broccoli Tarot? What did I miss this time???

Oh, and does anyone know how to get the Tarot of the Morning Star that Adam has on his weblog. That was one of the decks on the list, but because of lack of time I skipped the "I find it, I buy it" phase... and now they don't sell it anymore :n.

Ok, I know I'm supposed to list my top three, but there is only one deck that made it on my wish list. A King's Journey Tarot by Chanel and James is my absolute favorite. I can't even tell how AMAZING this deck is. It's a revolutionary deck. I also love how it's like two decks in one. I personally love oracle decks and I am pleased to hear that the last suit can be used by itself as an oracle deck. This deck just tops them all for me.
