Stumbled upon this very dark set of majors by one Elia Morettini intended to accompany an Italian horror RPG called Sine Requie. From the little I have been able to figure out, it has something to do with the dead rising from their graves in 1944 and waging war upon the living. In the game, tarot is somehow used instead of dice to resolve battles.
Very large images of some of the cards can be seen in this thread in an Italian gamers forum. (Scroll down to the third message.)
It's available from a few Italian game web sites for 9.99 Euros. Don't know yet if any will ship internationally.Attached Image (viewed 245 times):

Sorry, it's an acronym for "Role-Playing Game." Like Dungeons and Dragons and that sort of thing.

For anyone interested in ordering it, after a couple of weeks of correspondence I've been able to confirm that this Italian dealer:
http://www.dragonstore.it/articolo.php?c=AP2010
will indeed ship internationally and they accept PayPal. The deck is 9.95 EUR and they quoted shipping to the USA of 5 EUR.

I was just reading Adam's blog and saw pictures of this. It is about the creation of the Fouth Reich in our time, I guess by dead Nazis or something?
That bride is pretty gruesome! I couldn't deal with it, the Third Reich was enough.

It's definatley a dark deck.I like some of the art specificly the fool card....In the U.S. I think politicly were very close to making fascist policys a reality. Our policys encourage multi national corperations,Oil dependency and sustaining a strong military industrial complex and presence through out the world.Their is a strong anti immagrint attitude amogst the populace.Bushes support by Evangelicles and his personal faith creates an enviroment where he feels he is doing Gods will.Numerous civil libertys have been lost since 9/11.I think the 4th reich is already here.I'm NOT sugesting Bush is like Hitler.Bush is out to save the world for "democracy" in a messianic sort of way (For big biz and oil too) where as Hitler was destroying the world so he could rule it for the benifit of the Nazi party.Whats simular is how the Government protects and promotes those privite industrys that in turn promote the government....I guess this is off topic my appologies mike quid wrote:

The set I have is 22 cards.
Ok, two printings, one of 22 and one of 78. The 78 card deck is cheaper than the 22!
I'd like to get the 78, but Italian is not my strong point (ok, not at all) and the shipping for the 22 card deck was more than the deck! :-(

Hmm... Where did you buy your 22 card version? At the Dragonstore link above (which is no longer active) it was 9.95€ and shipping to the USA was 5.00€. (And it still seems to be available here, with ordering in English.)
Personally, I find the majors pretty fascinating (in a macabre way), but between the simple pips and the not (to me) very interesting courts, I'm not very motivated to buy a second version.

The Dragon store link is still active, if you backspace out all the extra stuff.
http://www.dragonstore.it/
Then search for tarrocchi. They have both versions, the 22 card set is called 'Sine Requie Anno XIII (Rest Year XIII The Tarot)' and is €29,95 and the 78 card set is the 'Sine Requie - Tarocchi del Giudizio' and is €19,95
I agree they are fascinating, and definitely in a macabre way! The pips are pretty simple, obviously not alot of work put into them. It looks like a different person did the courts.

Yeah, sorry, I meant that the specific link above to the 22 card version was no longer active.
When I search on tarocchi, I only get the 78 card version. When I search on Sine Requie, I get this page. The 29,95 € item "Sine Requie Anno XIII" there is the basic rule book for the Sine Requie RPG. Are you finding a different 29,95 € item?

Yikes, so it is. I thought I saw that it had 22 'pages' and assumed they meant 22 cards. But when I look now, it's definitely a manual. I do not know where i saw it today.
I got my 22 card version on ebay.it from mondiversi, back in Sept of 2008. If they say it's a 25 edition, do they mean it's an edition of 25?

Thanks.
