I Tarocchi di Sigismondo, xilogr. orig. di U.Giovannini

Anyone know anything about this deck?  Is it worth the 1833.00 US they are asking for it?

Ironically, back when I first encountered it, it was "only" 900 EUR (and the exchange rate was a lot more pleasant). I spent just a day thinking about it, and when I returned to check it out again, the price had jumped to the current 1250 EUR. Unfortunately, that made the decision a lot easier.

I do know that Papageno357 had decided to get a copy and I note that it's now listed in his collection here, so perhaps he can give us a firsthand report.

As to whether it's "worth it," I imagine we would each have to decide that for ourselves.

Egad ... that's 2 months income for me ... excluding postage.  When I was younger, and definately more attractive, I was told that I was 'sitting' on a fortune ... but even then I wouldn't have swung my pearls on a street corner for money to buy a deck.  I wouldn't do it to help with finances while bringing up my son and going to university... now, when no-one would even give me $1 ... even the best deck in the world wouldn't prompt such out of character behaviour.  Now robbing banks, on the other hand .... :P  Nah!  A 1975 Flipper Blue VW Campervan is not only a 'stand-out' get-way vehicle ... it just doesn't go fast enough. Nor do I, come to think of it!

Superb deck though:D!

i would like invite you of the Forum to buy them because the normal price for them in Italy is around 1250 euros,i have payed my copy some years ago 1500 because there were some letters and little things signed by the artist. It is really worth and very very beautiful. With all my respect for money, this is a fool price!
